On the 1st of April 1982 not many of us had heard of the Falkland Islands, let alone know where they were? However, on the 2nd April 1982 Argentine Forces invaded the Islands. Triggering the start of Operation CORPORATE and the deployment of the British Armed Forces.

In fact the UK has suggested this a number of times to the Argentinian Government, but oddly, for some reason (may be reading history) the offer never gets any further. Let's hope Argentina takes the offer up one day.
