- I was watching Pride and Prejudice for the nth time and found CTippy's videos and loved them and got inspired.
• Mr. Darcy being painfu...
• Elizabeth Bennet being...

I loved how this actress plaid Caroline, she was like one of those cats that rubs against your foot and she can't wait for you to attempt to pet her so she can give you a good scratch on your face.
Perfectly said!
She plays Beth on Yellowstone. She’s amazing on it.
There is something very cat-like about her lol
@@FilmSureelist97 The only reason I added that show on my watchlist in the first place was her :)) I don't even know what it's about yet, I just wanna see her play that cat role again 😆
“Did you see her hems…positively medieval.” 🤣
But by this time Darcy was totally in love….he was not looking at the mud on Elizabeth’s hem!
Check Caroline laughing at her own joke at 3:34 XD
I've watched this movie countless times, and I'm a big fan of Yellowstone, and I've only just realised she's the same girl. 🤣🤣
Kelly Reilly played this part so well
Mr. Bingley: *waves politely*
Caroline: Are you kidding me right now
I did not realize this was Beth Dutton until I was reading Kelly Rielly's filmography. 😅
I'll never look at Caroline Bingley the same after knowing she also played Beth Button 😂
I felt those ughs deep in my soul.
I love 5:02 so much. It’s like Lizzie “lost” a duel against her, but choose to stay polite and retained. Those 2 or 3 seconds of silence followed by the gentle farewell are perfect. What a actress.
(Of course, later we learn that there’s no duel at all. Lizzie is everything Darcy has in mind)
Wait what do u mean by duel though?
In the book, it was Caroline who says that it would be more rational if conversation instead of dancing were the order of the day.
And Bingley replied that it would be rational but rather less like a ball 😜
This actress really was superb.
Anybody notice Mr Collins being beaten by Mr. Darcy's elbow? I agree this Caroline Bingley was a mood ever lasting lol
I love how the fabric of her clothes exales money haha!
Fave Caroline out of all the other P&P movie/mini series
Remarkable how this role is so similar in nature to her role as a Beth Dutton.
I commented that she also plays Watson's fiance in the 2009 Holmes movie. Seems like she's just playing the same character over and over again, lol.
She has that face
If beth dutton was bri ish
Am I only one, or She really resembles with HALSEY?
This actress has played the British bit*** and the American bit*** to perfection in this one and Yellowstone. It shows how the Brit stabs in the back yet smiles to your face and the American all brutal honesty with scratches included. Awesome actress.
Best performance in the movie. Stole every scene. She really deserved an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress
Love what Kelly Reilly did with her character. Takes a lot of skill for a side character to steal every scene they’re in. Phenomenal cast overall though
She went from British landed gentry to American landed gentry (as Beth from Yellowstone).
The Bingleys only became landed gentry at the very end of the book (and likewise, the movie adaptations), because Mr. Bingley never owned land until he and Jane decided to quit Netherfield Park and move closer to Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth. Only then did Mr. Bingley purchase his own estate, and only then did he elevate himself into the class of landed gentry. So in hindsight, a great deal of Caroline’s anxiety and hostility came from the knowledge that her family was nothing more than very rich merchants (thus belonging to the class of trades) while the Bennett family was true gentry albeit on a moderate income. Caroline couldn’t even argue the stance ‘I am a gentleman’s daughter’ as Elizabeth did, because even when her brother became a gentleman at last, she herself was still just a daughter of a rich businessman. Mr. Bingley becoming landed gentry only affects his immediate family, which includes Jane and their future children, all Caroline got out of this would be the appearance of class now that her brother was not just rich but a real gentleman.
Did she really say when dancing with Darcy, “I can’t help but think at some point this evening someone will produce a piglet.” Or something similar? I had to listen to that a dozen times.
Yup that's about what she said. It's called Pig Wrestling or Pig Scramble. I saw that in Leonardo Dicaprio's movie The Man In The Iron Mask. Must be English Rural custom :)
Yes! The pig chase reference reminded me of that scene in The Man In The Iron Mask too!
@@khamsinbroodingaudiojourna8867 it was a French custom I believe, something that the British found silly. And if you remember in the film miss Bingley also mentions how unpatriotic it is that one of her friends was decorating their home in the French style. So it could be jabs at French society and miss Bingley showing how she is a patriot to her country. At least that's how I took her attitude.
In the book, the conversation between Lizzy and Darcy about poetry and love took place in Bingley's house, not at the Meryton town hall 😜
Caroline Bingley of 1995 P&P is the best. She just sounds sooooo condescending while this Caroline just sounds tired........
I disagree. This Caroline is a much more realistic mean girl, casting subtle shade.
@@SuperStar-ny1vi You are right in this point. But I am not talking about realism, more about fidelity to the book. Compared Ms. Austen's version of Miss Bingley, the 1995 version is more accurate.
i totally agree with you, in the book caroline is still mean and proud but more energetic than this. however this caroline is always exhausted and gives cliché mean girl stereotype looks.
I'd be tired if my plans kept failing... Her mom did her dirty, she should of had more than ONE plan for her daughter -_-
I watched 1995 version about three times and I can't even remember who played Caroline 😂
Beth still being savage in a different time. Hahahaha!
Beth Dutton looking different here
Love her
This iconic film manages to feed my soul in surprising ways. If pyramids think they're eternal... they need to see Pride and Prejudice 2005
Somebody said that she’s a pick me girl and I can’t unsee it 😭
Shoutout to Kelly for the great American accent she does on Yellowstone :)
I know there is so much more in other characters, but she is my favourite..
She’s awesome!
UA-cam Caroline bingley 1995 pride
sorry i can’t stop thinking that in certain angles she looks like halsey and it makes me laugh 🤣
More please and Thank you! (One on Mary or even Mr. Collins would be fun)
Oh this made me laugh so much!
I know it's a ploy to get noticed, but taking a turn about the room always seemed like the sort of thing someone would do if listless and bored.
They all sit in the same room yet someone reads, someone writes and someone just sits. Seems like a worthless waste of time 😒
@@dianadoraen7864So sitting in a room where everyone is on their cell phone is better?! SMH 🙄
@@l.a.3479 It's the equivalent of sitting in your phone for the time period
@@l.a.3479at least phones provide a greater diversity of entertainment
@@dianadoraen7864reading is a waste if time?
I loveeee !!!more videos pleeeease
Charlotte and Caroline are soooo important to making this movie, the best!
Jane Austin was a genius….timeless.
So sarcastic
I just love Kelly Reilly so much
NOTICE ME SENPAI HAHAHAHHAHAJAKAMSKSKSJS
Love caroline
Ok but she is SO FINE
If I was Mr Darcy I would’ve run off with either Caroline or Kitty or both ❤❤❤
Essa personagem, e a atuação de Kelly Reilly, chamaram minha atenção logo na primeira vez que assisti o filme! Fiquei positivamente impressionado, querendo ver mais.
This character, and Kelly Reilly's performance, caught my attention the first time I watched the film! I was positively impressed, wanting to see more.
Beth Dutton Kelly Ryan except Lizzie takes her out.
Is this Beth Dutton?
Beth from Yellowstone, so this is how she got so cinycal!
Ahahahah you killed me 😂
She's never been a mood for me. She's , dare I say, desperate.
As opposed to the 4 sisters just itching to get their claws into wealth?
@@zed3063Which four daughters care only about wealth? Kitty and Lydia are the only daughters with questionable manners. And even they just want love. Besides, women did not have many rights back then, don't blame women for wanting more (financial) freedom. Blame the patriarchy for taking away their rights.
@@TheOriginalCKIf we should blame absolutely everything on patriarchy, I'm going to assume Caroline is blameless as well.
I've seen a lot of Regency era fashion plates and not once have I seen a sleveless evening gown like Caroline Bingley's. Hard to believe that it is historically acurate. Anyone?
This movie wasn't all that accurate (lack of bonnets etc), and in this case I think they sacrificed it for what they wanted her character to exude. While I like period accuracy, I can understand it.
Awww, Charles. 😢
I feel as though in this adaptation, Miss Bingley more adequately represents Pride, while dear Mr. Darcy instead represents social awkwardness.
she is the same person as halsey wtf
She us jealous. Doesnt want to give lizzy any chance. Wants Darcy for herself
5: 34
Can’t beat the 1940 version
Now watch her on yellowstone
Beth Dutton! 🔥
From pembly and garbage.😂😂
BETH!
IMO this is the absolute worst version of Pride and Prejudice and to totally ruin any semblance of the main character Lizie they cast the awful Kiera Knightly. The only redeeming quality in this version was the exceptional Kelly Riely as Caroline.
I just love Kelly Reilly so much
