As someone who has been building woodstoves and installing them in campers for many years I have to say you're intake mechanism is awesome and being able to see the flame is something I've wanted to achieve but haven't ventured into yet and though you're stove would be great for a canvas tent or drafty cabin the only issues I could see happening is wind hitting the top of the pipe and blowing back out of the door opening if you could incorporate some fiberglass rope on the door where it meets the sharp edge of the tank that would eliminate that issue but more critical is the 90 degree at the back it's always better to avoid that scenario a receiving collar on the cooking surface would have been your best option but hey you built it for your purposes.... I find I have to push a round wire wheel down the pipe every other day so having the pipe straight really helps with the cleaning it allows the creosote to flow back into the fire and less restricted airflow thanks for sharing 👍

I do pretty much the same with propane tanks. I pull the valve of and fill it with water and make my cuts with a cordless disk cutter. There's a lot of expired 20# tanks available for free .
Right, I'm going to rush out and make one of these right now once I can get my hands on one of those vessels, a flat steel bench with a scribing block. A welder and a steel cutter
