Which seats would you say are the sweet spot for the best surround sound experience? How does the sound experience in the balcony compare with that of the stalls? Thanks.
I probably wouldn't recommend the balcony, as the screen would look a bit small. Firs 8 rows are also not the best idea, as you would have to tilt your head up while watching the movie.
@@cheekster777 Did you end up sitting in k19 or k20 ? If so how was it, did you have to tilt your head up for the film bc it was too close or was it okay? Please let me know. Thanks
@@justinborganog6048 - I have watched a bunch of movies in Superscreen at Leicester Square and sat in a variety of different rows. Depending on what aspect ratio the movie is in (if it’s 1.85:1 then the image will fill the entire screen so I’d probably suggest sitting a couple of rows further back) and found F17, G17 or H17 to be the sweet spot of where I’ve preferred to watch a movie in that auditorium. Often times if you’re not quick enough to book once a particular movie is programmed in the precise seat that you want will possibly have already been booked by a a regular or an Unlimited member. For a scope movie row F is okay but for a 1.85:1 it will seem like you’re having to tilt your head up. If you slouch a little lower in your seat or recline back slightly it is okay. I wouldn’t recommend any closer than row F, personally.
I know, it’s more a tour video than review. I have to come back there one again as it’s hard to talk objectively about image quality while watching CGI cartoon.
Would you say the colours of the screen are bright and vibrant? I guess Super Mario would have shown that off at least heh. That's one of my main considerations when I visit a cinema.
Also I don't know if you know this but if you have a three SIM card you can get a discount promotion code on the superscreen and it's something like £7.
@boredtech - In case you’ve missed this info… Superscreen at Cineworld, Leicester Square has recently been upgraded. New Harkness screen plus the latest Barco HDR projector. It is one of only 6 such sites worldwide and the first outside of the U.S. to have this projector installed. Please can you make a video tour review and also tell us how you think it compares with Dolby Cinema at Odeon Luxe, West End in terms of HDR quality. Thank you for your consideration.
I love the SuperScreen as an alternative to the IMAX screens - I remember watching NOPE in these screns and had a lot of sound issues being at the back in the lower level. Great video :)
Really enjoying the videos! Would love to see your review of the ScreenX cinema at Cineworld Greenwich. Seems like a gimmick but it's an interesting one.
I've only been to this supercreen once and I wasn't all that impressed. It seemed to me that the audio system wasn't being properly monitor or calibrated and the bass was very disappointing. I don't believe the system was working correctly on the day but the problem is no one seems to be checking this. The great thing about IMAX and Dolby Cinema is they seem to be properly monitored and are reliable.
Hi Bored_Tech, another fantastic video. All your videos are top class. Thank you. One important thing you did not mention. The EQ. Do you know if the EQ was set for the stalls, front or rear, or for the Circle seats. As you know there will be a huge difference in sound quality depending on what area the EQ was aimed at. Again, an Excellent video, and what a lovely cinema. Spoolbox.
Thanks. I didn’t have any information about the EQ that why I didn’t say anything. But you gave me an idea for the video. I need to film a calibration process of the sound system.
Hi, bored_tech! Congratulations on the fantastic video. Have you've ever thinked about a touring video at AMC Lincoln Square 13? Maybe the IMAX screen with an IMAX GT Laser projector. Would be awesome to watch.
Yes I did think about producing tour videos of cinemas in North America. Unfortunately at this moment I don't have budget to travel on the other side of the pound.
Another great video! I think the projection must have improved since I last visited? Hope to read more? Last time I visited (viewed Arrival in 2017) ) I was not impressed by either sound or image. Must visit again soon!
Another wonderful cinema tour. I'm a new fan and really enjoying your content! Any idea who the maker of those seats in that theater is?? If not, who to contact to ask?
Thanks, check out my latest video about flagship Dolby Cinema ua-cam.com/video/Dt6MA4ht0Ws/v-deo.html Unfortunately I don't have any information about those seats.
fantastic work. love this channel. Would love to see you cover quirky or the best intimate cinemas in the future when your out of the giants (like the Everyman cinemas with sofas or rooftop /open air cinemas)
This has been on my list of screens to visit for a while. Have been to Superscreen, Leicester Square a bunch of times but not the O2, Greenwich one yet. Thank you my friend.

@@cheekster777I always go for the exact middle row and middle seat.

You didn’t really review the screen. How does it compare to others like IMAX? Where would you put it at in a best cinema screens list? Thanks❤

The calibration process is not easy for the cinemas with this layout.
What exactly was the issue?

The odeon marble arch used to be the largest screen in the uk way back then
Keep doing what you're doing. Love your videos

The rows of seats near the front of the screen are not raised much 🙁
Many cinemas in the United Kingdom are like that.

It would be great if they could turn this "Super Screen" in to a Dolby Cinema.

I’ve been at SuperScreen Leicester Square just once. Watched “The Passengers”.

What's wrong with the Super Mario movie? 😄
It’s CGI.
Hi Bored_Tech. Thanks you for this Video. I Hope that you can go to the Super Screen in Glasgow Street
Thanks for your feedback and thanks for the idea.
