The tittle Cinderella will be used for the character from a poor background and falls in love with the rich ML.
If the FL is from the rich, mostly used "heroine" or the FL's job like "beautiful doctor"

Talked to a friend who speaks Chinese - seems it's a difficulty in translation. Just like in English we have words that are tough to translate one to one in many other language, other language have the same tangle so it defaults in English to one word where it's meant to cover many and with variations. Think of it like if you can say "Shoe" in one language but the way other languages have to say something more like 'item of clothing you wear on your feet to protect them'. Cinderella seems to be the catchall because it just doesn't have a one to one for all the different inflections of the word in English. We can say "shoe, footware, slipper, boot, etc" and all mean a version of shoe just more specific. Chinese is the same, so many tiny variations, but boil down to Cinderella as a simplified term. (Trying to learn mandarin at the moment and my brain is leaking from all the tiny aspects punched into a single character and god forbid one inflection is off because it them becomes a completely different word. I may die of study based mania before this is all done.)
