      @@hokulele393 Of course he should wear what he wants but that outfit wasn't for a one and done ceremony, that was only the first of multiple outfits for a multiple day Hindu wedding. So I understand why the bride's hesitating. Even the consultant said that it was too much for the first event. But I'm glad he got what he wanted and the bride was able to comfortably compromise and make it work.

      It's so annoying when a mother is yelling or arguing with her child when she is clearly in the wrong, but the father doesn't want to jump in, so he just agrees with the mother or stays quiet to avoid conflict. It's so cowardly.

    I think many of the comments are missing the point about the first segment. They have a budget and they hadn't discussed a customized, very ornate piece of clothing for what will be a one-time wearing (I assume). Yes, he loves it and he looks handsome, but they are a team. They need to discuss money matters beforehand and be on board with their budget: both of them. This may be a first red flag for the marriage.

    • @cookiesarelikecream
      @cookiesarelikecream 5 років тому +28

      Preety Bajwa ok it’s still the same if you buy something on the lower end of sabyasachi. 2 lakh rupees is $2888 USD. If she wanted to she could have gotten a sabyasachi for 3 lakhs which is around 4000$USD. Obviously most people can’t afford the higher end sabyasachi stuff but with their 5000$ budget they could have gotten lower end stuff. And yes there’s the flight cost, but they could have gotten everything at India including jewelry and stuff for cheaper, and they could stay with relatives. Uber is cheaper in India too.
      I understand though that people want the convenience of shopping in their own country. I’m just saying Shia’s dresses are overpriced for their designs and styles. When one of my relatives got married recently she bought a sabyasachi wedding dress and theres a big difference in the handwork and style.
      Alternatively there’s also slightly cheaper designers in India who are well known, it just takes a bit of research.

    • @cookiesarelikecream
      @cookiesarelikecream 5 років тому +13

      Okay Okay see my reply to the other girl (Preety), where I lay out the price differences.
      Of course you can get a half decent lenghna from India! India is where the designs and trends are MADE. You just need to do research before you go and get in contact with the well reputed shops and designers. Sometimes good designers can even remake sabyasachi type gowns for cheaper.
      Again see my other reply for the price difference for sabyasachi, and they can easily get less well known brand lenghnas that are more than “half decent” from India. Clearly our perspectives differ because I have many relatives who have gone to India to get their wedding outfits because the stuff here is outdated or overpriced for what you get.
      So don’t talk to me all condescending saying I need to “get out of my house” when I know what I’m talking about. Girl bye

      according to others in the comment section, besides the fact that he just decided on his own to up the budget, the outfit was too fancy for the event. This is not the wedding ceremony outfit but a pre-ceremony. He will need a more ornate outfit for other events and is already spending 2k on the first one. Generally, husbands-to-be could care less about the wedding so she ought to be grateful he wants to be involved about clothing relevant to him. But the reason the bride was not for it is because that is firstly not the wedding outfit, more like a bachelor's night party but with guests from both sides of the family. It is also not the reception outfit. One thing people in the comments overlook is that the reason there is a budget is because you're supposed to find something that you love within your budget as well.

    Why not just suggest saving the peach shirvaani for the wedding? Such a simple solution that the salesman should have thought of to keep the peace and compromise with the bride instead of just siding entirely with the groom and pushing to convince her to agree with him.

      Nope. The groom said he wanted to start the celebrations by making a strong statement with his attire. He's an adult, it's his right and the wedding is not all about the bride. The groom is an adult and it's annoying as hell when women think they have the right to make all the decisions for their wedding.

    • @sph1226
      @sph1226 4 роки тому +6

      The salesman's job is to serve the customer and give them what they are asking for, it's not his job to think of solutions to keep the peace between couples. That's THEIR job. And he didn't push to convince the bride at all; in fact, just the opposite. When the groom gave his final decision to go ahead with the peach, the salesman was still asking the bride if it was ok with her.

    I can understand what the first bride is saying , but sometimes you have to go with the flow , I can understand her frustration though especially money wise
    Love the peach outfit on her husband though
    People should be flexible in their choices, life not always fair
    We can only be supportive and have a talk later in the day so in the future it easier transition ❤

  • @WhirledPublishing
    @WhirledPublishing 3 роки тому +5

    " ... customizing it ... a little more to the event... " The reaction on his face is hilarious ... Bride should say, "You get what you want - I'll get a groom who looks to the future to provide for his new baby and new home ... because your choices are above and beyond what you can afford ... and you know that because we talked about it so have fun with your clothes." ( The peach jacket is handsome and he looks great in it but if they can't afford it, and if no one is stepping in to help pay for it, then he has lost his mind - which tells the bride the life she has to look forward to with him. )

    I am so proud of the groom for standing his ground respectfully and not be treated like a lap dog. most brides think it's all about them and everyone needs their permission to do anything. there was so much jealousy on the bride's face as she was scared she wouldn't match up. she should be proud to have this gentleman as her husband.

    • @animelover-bt4ld

      You clearly don’t understand our culture. This is too dressed up for the sangeet or mehendi and it’s not even the right color. There are certain outfits you wear for certain days. Some are understated some are grand this is just too much. It’s not about the bride in our culture it’s about family honor and tradition. 😂

    They are right about it being too much for that first event. Although it's cool he was excited, I just see warning lights because he was ready to blow a financial plan they made together without a cool down to talk about it. It's called financial infidelity. Looks like it could be a pattern for them unless he realizes the impact and matures.

    I love both of these yellow gowns andIeven though one of them was yellow and red, but I love the most was the mother was willing to be less than traditional in forcing her read idea on her for typical bridal gown. The bride Idid Tryon a red gown but it did not even look good on her nor did it fit well. I’d have to say it was the first time I saw a Nazranaa Bridal gown look BAD!!!!! So, for that reason, I was even that much more happier that the mother was very gracious to concede to the yellow gowns get this spray truly wanted which, she looked fantastic in… Just beautiful with herJ skin color. I was so impressed I actually took snapshots from the video, to tell you the truth !! SHE LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL❣️❣️❣️❣️

      I'm not sure if you're in the Indian culture sir/miss. But the event that the groom wore that to is more similar to a Bachelor's party but with all the family members joining. It is neither the wedding outfit nor the reception outfit. The bride had every right to make sure the groom stayed in the budget as they also have Haldi event, the wedding itself and the reception event to get outfits for. She also had every right to make sure he stayed in his budget as if he didn't he's going to have less money to buy the other events outfits.
