July 9th - Saint Everilda seventh century
When Cinegilsus, King of West Saxony, was baptized by Saint Berinus in six hundred and thirty-five, this Holy Virgin had the happiness of being introduced to the knowledge of Christ. In order to be able to dedicate herself as perfectly as possible to the service and love of her Divine Spouse, she fled in secret from her parents' house and sought the shelter of some holy convent, and she was joined on the way by two other virgins named Bega and Wuldreda. Saint Wilfrid offered her a place previously called the Bishop's Dwelling but since her time known as Everildishan, that is, the Dwelling of Everilda.
There, the saint trained many virgins in the perfection of Divine Love, the height of Christian virtue, animating them with the spirit of Truth and continually encouraging them in the most fervent and faithful fulfillment of the duties and all practices of their Sacred profession. She left for God on the nine of July.
