NEW HERE?
I'm Corey Jones, a minimalist, lifestyle curator, and photographer based out of Atlanta, GA. I post new videos on my channel every Tuesday! I share my knowledge and inspiration on simplistic living and creating a life without worry and stress. How do I differ from others you ask? I am a ball of energy. Even though I'm a minimalist, I still enjoy having fun and making the best out of life.
This channel is for those who are ready to expand your horizon, adopt a new lifestyle, and embrace change but is still in the scarcity mindset.

Letting go is tough. But often times needed! What’s something or an item you’ve let go of recently!?
Corey Jones ummm, not sure if know this or not. But you can sale your stuff online, ebay or have a yard sale. It's one of the best cash grabs people do.
Yeah I’m selling the stuff in my container but I also wanna give away some stuff too, to give back to the community! Culture for service, service for humanity 🤘🏾
@@CoreyMJones3 my man😉🤘
Clothes, clothes, clothes! I have clothes with tags on them. We are donating to families who lost everything in home fires.
I couldn’t wait till winter and pulled out all of our families fall/winter gear. I went from 11 boxes (family of 7) to 3 boxes... man that Felt so good. It is rough though with items you love even if you haven’t worn them. That’s my next task! Good for
You! Passed everything on to those who could use them. 👍🏼
When you´re done decluttering-in a few days or weeks, you will find more you don´t need or want anymore....it works in cycles.....
Just keep going.......
That’s exactly right
@@CoreyMJones3 When i finally started this journey, i felt like i would never get anywhere...stuff kept piling up, and every time i thought i was "done", i found another box, another drawer, another pile hidden somewhere i had to go through (sometimes not even remembering what was in the box)...
I felt like the stuff kept accumulating, although i stopped buying anything from day 1 of my journey......
On the first wave, the "obvious" things went.....then i took a break....then i hit another wave of decluttering-this time i even decluttered things i decided i wanted to keep forever in the first wave...and so on....
I know some people are able to get it all done and dusted in a day...or a week....but truth is, it took me closer to 2 years to get to a stage where i can comfortably say "I don´t have anything i want to get rid of" (at least for now)...
Sascha that’s actually gonna be my Tuesday video. I’m going to outline the different tiers because everyone think you can just jump into it but it takes time
Thank you for saying that. I never realized the healthier way to declutter is to take time. Its hard work
@@barbl7498 Yes, it usually takes time... I think this is mainly because it requires a change in habit as well as our way of thinking about stuff....
The majority of things we own clutter our brain, but in reality, we have all forgotten about the items already... It is as if we have developed a certain kind of blindness to the stuff around us... This is why I like to watch videos of people who have taken minimalism to the extreme-like monks, or other extreme minimalists.. Because it motivates me to think "If those people can live with so little, I can definitely get rid of some of my things without missing anything.."
It was refreshing watching a man declutter.
yes, I have a tear in my beer watching this video
@@chris-ci7ch 🤣
Thank you for your honesty. This can be a difficult process. I’ve been decluttering for a couple years now. But, I’m finding my “decluttering muscle” getting stronger. It’s getting easier as I’m getting more honest with myself. Keep going.
Transparency and honesty is key. Glad you’re flexing your decluttering muscle
Well I just started decluttering. It gets sentimental with all the "fun finds" but the real trick is letting them go. Thanks for sharing your process, hopefully it helps me too.
You had me laughing so hard, watching you trying to get rid of hats and remembering you had more to go through.
That was my biggest struggle lol
@@CoreyMJones3 LOL! I think you forgot about the ties.
Chantee' WK oh yeah the ties were hard too 🤦🏾♂️😬
The 👏🏾absolute 👏🏾difference 👏🏾from 👏🏾the 👏🏾start 👏🏾of 👏🏾the 👏🏾video 👏🏾and👏🏾 the👏🏾 end.
🙆🏾♀️ Smh, I need to get my act together and clear my closet out.
You are super serious about this Minimalistic lifestyle Bro and I totally respect it ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Got to be! 💯💯
You are so wholesome, I watched you decanter your stuff 😆. Thanks for the calming, positive energy.
A man after my own heart. You have no problem in getting rid of things just like me. My husband just can’t separate emotion from objects, something that I find difficult to understand
It takes some people longer to detach from things but maybe one day he will
Lol, no you don't.
You are exactly the same, but reversed. You feel weighted down by your own possessions. You are emotionally invested. That's why you feel the need to constantly reorganize your stuff and declutter.
If you were truely dispassionate, you wouldn't have to intentionally reduce your possessions.
Bro your washer and dryer in your closet! That’s so clutch!! What a setup .
Hey Corey, consider taking some of your suits and ties to My brothers Keeper or a local men’s shelter as well. You did a fantastic job. I just recently moved and I have been re going through stuff seeing what I use and don’t.
Definitely will! Thank you
A man in a blazer... It's a beautiful thing.
These days we need more men with style like you!!
Xo from Portland ❤️
Blazers are definitely a hit. And thank you 🙏🏾
Inspired me to get rid of a jacket I’ve been debating on for a while
I thought I was following all the minimal and decluttering channels. I just found you 🙂
Welcome!
These videos are therapeutic.
Preciate it!
I am struggling with this decluttering. I am now take one room at a time. Thank You for your information about everything in life. Your page is very positive and even help me through my depression.
I love your living room space: so open, airy, bright and clean.
You’ve got good energy, nice apt & cool closet!
Thank you! I loved that apt
How good is it to get rid of things that way us down like a yoke around our neck.
And you can buy great clothes at the charity shops still with their labels on, plus you are helping great organisations.
So great to be organised, it makes our day flow so much better ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😃
>of things that way us down like a yoke around our neck
That pretty much sums up your entire community.
Your possessions don't weight you down. At all. But you have come to believe that. Which is why you waste a lot of time organizing and reorganizing stuff.
"Decluttering" is the homekeeping equivalent of a "detox". Completely unnecessary.
Thank you for continuing to include us on your journey to a minimalistic lifestyle. I am preparing to move to a smaller space in the next month and you have inspired me to get rid of stuff that I've been holding on to for years because I was attached to my past. But just because I get rid of stuff doesn't mean that I am erasing my past. I will still have those memories and I can replace clothes if need be. And it just made me think about how I shouldn't be holding on to things that could benefit others rather than sit in storage. I am now entering my second phase of clearing things out and it's crazy to believe that I am at this point lol. Keep up the great content!
You’re welcome 😊. Proud of you Meagan 👏🏾
I am happy to hear you donate, you was saying “throw away” a lot and that had me concerned. Take care and God bless 💕🙏🏽💕
I love your channel always a blessing.
Minimalism is therapeutic. I was at ease watching your video. You just gave me ideas for my new crib. In a materialistic world only a few who can afford to splurge can go without. 💯
Very therapeutic. That’s the goal of my videos, to make minimalism more of a normal thing. Rather than a daunting or stressful task. And you’re right, when a person can afford to splurge and they decide to live minimal, it’s commendable
"Minimalists" are literally the most obsessed with "material" goods. To the degree that you feel uneasy in their presence. As if some trouser you might not wear again is going to strangle you in your sleep.
Decluttering is so gratifying. I also makes room for necessities. Digging your channel
I already knew you would have a difficult time with your hats. Good effort though!!! SN: Your commentary to that text was hilarious.
Those hats took all of my energy haha. Oh yeah, that text was a bit much 😂
Thanks Corey.....I really need to work on my space.
“Get back on track, get back on track” + dancing = SUBSCRIBED.
It’s 11pm and watching this makes me want to get up and declutter my closet😆
Ayyee! I say get started this weekend. Report back with some good news 💪🏾💯
@@CoreyMJones3 absolutely! I slowly started minimalism a few years ago but it’s def not an overnight thing. I mean it took years to accumulate so yea.. lol. I moved last year so I basically got rid of half of my wardrobe bc for one I didn’t feel like packing it all back up 😩 I’m def going to do some decluttering this weekend in other areas of my home. I found that having less stuff not only equates to freeing up physical space but also freeing up your life.. it’s def liberating. I feel like I fell off track and your videos are the motivation I needed! Thank u Corey!! 🤗
Exactly, those are great points for sure. Glad to be a source of motivation for you! Good luck with decluttering this weekend
“Got from my neo” lol only a few would read between the lines
Sir, I CANNOT TELL YOU how important it is at this very season in my life, that I found you-- a Black man on a public decluttering journey. God bless you. When my family gets down the road some, I will be giving you credit for the role you played. 🖤🤎
Thank you for motivating me! I have a tiiiiiny room, so need to keep it relatively decluttered (though there are clothes on the floor)
You got it 👏🏾
I've seen ties rolled up in a sock organizer. It looked really good.
Lovely video, thank you for sharing.
I really need to declutter my workspace. 😵💫
Huge fan of decluttering. We have way more than we need. Theres always another sale for us to buy more stuff to put in the back of our closets.
"I have so. many. tiiiieeeees." Oh my, I can so relate!! Your ties are my shirts. Of course they are all white. And dated. Have to let them go. Now. Thank you for recording your process, I enjoy your company very much. We are in this together. :-)
Thank you!! I appreciate you for watching and commenting!
This is brilliant, love hearing your thought process and your journey. Thank you for sharing 😊👍
Thank you Lucy! I appreciate you for watching. Hopefully you subscribed to follow the journey
Corey Jones I did thank you 😊 it’s also good to see decluttering from a mans perspective. Most videos I find are women decluttering so this is good to see. After years of decluttering I am still going through the process myself and have started making videos so I can see how far I have come .
I appreciate it. And that’s true, it’s not many of us men out here documenting our decluttering. I’m glad you’re documenting your journey as well
Really enjoyed the talk through throughout the process and also enjoyed the simple sound. Pretty realistic, like how I do with making decisions..
Like the new hangers!
Thank you! I appreciate that. More to come 👏🏾
Love this type of videos. Good Job! ♡
Thank you!
I’ve been a minimalist for awhile it’s the best living ever. You know where your things are ALL things, you know when your things are touched lol . You feel at ease you don’t have clutter and your space is neat at all times because you made it that way. 🙌🏽 Great way of living 😊 things are just things 🤷🏽♀️ keep what you need everything else let it go!!
I agree!
Great job!
I'm working on the website now and I have this movie in picture in picture mode. When I'm finished I'll also throw some things away. The worst part is that I often lose weight and often get fat again. So I have a lot of clothes that if I throw away, I would feel like a man cutting his way to a sporting silhouette :D
I remember when I decluttered. All my clothes can fit in a duffle bag now. I still miss some of my clothes tho because I rarely buy clothes.
That was cute "Fresh Prince" hat.
Making great progress Corey! You should really look into a tie rack for your ties so they will be wrinkle-free and easy to find when you need one. Your plant is looking good; play it some John Coltrane and it will really grow!!!!!!
Preciate it man!
Ive decluttered my closet like 3 times and i still feel as if i have too many clothes! Fun video. Thanks!:)
Ayyeee! 👏🏾👏🏾
Ironic how this video popped up in the midst of me decluttering for my move the A.
Could you point me in the direction of where you got that hat organizer my brother?
Nice channel
Lol that’s funny. I’ll link it here amzn.to/35DouaI
Good job!
You had a lot of socks for just two feet 🦶🏿 🦶🏿 Corey! 😄. Great 👍🏿 job yet again!! Also thanks for supporting my channel with a visit! 🤗
Haha you’d thing I had 8 feet. Thank you and anytime!
Good start ontgw process. I am working on mines as well.
Facts lil bro..
I started following for greek advice but i never was good enough to be chosen i guess. Now, I got a new job and i’m moving out of my college apartment and starting a new chapter in life. I’m decluttering as well.
You’re good enough! They missed out. But glad you’re decluttering 💯💯
I love your Vlogs!! Do you donate your old clothes? I think it’s a great idea to donate good, gently used clothes. Take care and God bless 💕🙏🏽💕
I’m starting to slow a bit but I haven’t stopped. I’m finding it easier to “replace” some items first...not 1:1, more like 1:3. Not giving up, still on the path. Best of luck! 💙 SN: I was hoping that blue blazer fit 😔
You’re on track ✊🏾. I was hoping it would fit too 😢
Corey Jones The race is not to the swift but to those who keep on running or something like that. Lol
@@CoreyMJones3 I would’ve had a tailor let out the sleeves if possible.
We need to know what them texts was about 👀
Love your vids
It’s the watering the plant for me✨🤎✅
If you’re a “hat guy” declutteting those is TOUGH! I struggle because I wear more than half of mine.
Oh trust I know!
Oh wow 💕. I started decluttering in high school, now I'm out of college and still going. It never ends, I move a lot on public transport so I try to keep everything to a few suitcases.
Glad you’re still going. As time progresses, your needs change 💯
Imagine all the time you could have saved without decluttering.
You crack me up! Thanks for the mojo!
💯💯 anytime
Thank you for the inspiration! ✨
You’re welcome!
Just peeped you a Sigma , GOMAB bro 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Love you channel ♥️♥️ new sub 😊
That blue color (the blazer) looks so nice on you!
Cory, when is your birthday?? Are you an Aries or Gemini??? Bro, you're cracking me up, I thought you were a minimalist???
Hi Corey, new subscriber! I want to say thank you for being honest about your journey and accepting it can be hard at times! You are an inspiration, especially your encouragement! Another channel I've drawn minimalist inspiration from is Canna Campbell's SugarMamma TV. She provides tips on how to build a minimalist capsule wardrobe and how to apply minimalism to your finances! I think you may like her advice too! Thanks again for sharing your journey, I'm looking forward to your future uploads!
Welcome to the fam! I’ll check that UA-camr out, thanks for the recommendation
Reminds me of my baby brother. :-D
Corey!! Try three closets full of clothes!!!
3? Sheesh
You were nice to listen to! I hope you do more like this
Thank you!
Great video!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Please get new hangers. Mismatch hangers does something to me.
so question. do you guys still keep small tokens or gifts from old exes? they don't take up a lot of space. but I'm not sure if it would be appropriate to throw them out.
Nahhh not from exes
Love your channel ! I am doing the same thing!!!
Thank you!!!
I just done this a few days ago. I do have a question. Should I hang my jeans or should I just fold them?
Which ever is more convenient for you. I personally fold mine
@@CoreyMJones3 Cool. I have those ugly plastic pants hangers with the metal clips. They just really throw off my aesthetic. I use velvet hangers
@@rashadberry815 I fold my pants and put them on pants hangers (the open kind) then japanese fold all my tops
This mic was it!
I love that mic
Is your washing machine and dryer in your closet??
Yeaahhh. I hate that setup bruh. But it is convenient, I can say that
Roll your ties
Don't move your blazers. You'll get dressed more easily if you can see the whole look in your mirror.
Show this video to rich people.
Your decluttering looks a breeze, you have organized clutter lol compared to some men stuff.....
Amazing hats
I love Amazon sells
