What do you do to prepare for poetry performances?
I practice poetry by recording them. I totally get it that we have a feel where voice inflection is working or where it is not. I used to be very sloppy with not pausing at commas (sometimes I still catch myself). Also, I used to pronounce 'and' 'n' , until a friend told me that's what annoyed him about my readings. The ability to take criticism well, is very important in learning, in my opinion. ;)
