I'm still laughing at how the Venture knife is known as the Immler Knife. It's about time you received serious recognition for your years of input and work. Have a wonderful weekend Felix and continued success.

The more I see this design being used, the more I want one as my next knife. Something so seemingly simple having so many varied uses seems to be the heart of the Victorinox (and Felix's) philosophy.

I have seen a lot of people on youtube carve with the blade facing the hand. It never made sense to me because your wrist is stronger carving with the blade facing away from the hand. Come to find out they were doing it wrong. Excellent explanation of the correct technique! I will definitely be trying this tomorrow. Got my subscription.

This might be a useful and ergonomic knife design.
But I feel it is lacking in aesthetics. I want a knife to be aesthetically pleasing and useful. Otherwise it will simply collect dust in some drawer.

I’m so glad i bought mine the first week it became available. Its usefulness is expanding week by week. Unlike my heftier and costlier big-name fixed-blades, this knife is super handy in the kitchen and is a joy to use whether I am peeling an apple or slicing a taro root. The spine against any ferro rod creates seriously productive sparks:) Re-sharpening literally takes only a minute of stropping. Knife itself is so light. Carry it everywhere.

Very practical knife and kudos to making it flat ground for all purpose use. Scandi grind is great but limited use only.
Steel selection is good too for the intended purpose.
It is unfortunate though a lot people are testing it as if it is a pry bar and break it, you can break any knife like doing so. Just use the knife as it is intended to be used, not as an axe or pry bar.
    Keep it up.

Felix , since skinning a beaver has exactly one straight cut , from base of tail , through bottom lip , the pinch grip gives me great control to cut around all the curves . If you "clean skin " a beaver , every speck must be cut off , and all the cutting is around a round body. Short , slicing , curved cuts . Works great !

@aarde7036 We protected them here until now they are a nuisance animal in many areas. Orchard owners , and homeowners with fruit trees don't appreciate their appetite. Of course they don't just eat fruit trees. We saved them from extinction to do millions of $$ of damage AND to give us old trappers something to trap .

A great knife but with even greater competition in the same and lower price ranges.
Not gonna lie, I'm contemplating getting this (even tho I don't need another bushcraft knife for the already large collection 🤦‍♂️) because of my urge to make tool sets matching.
The venture together with like the forester or farmer together with a swiss army hatchet would make for a very sexy swiss bushcraft/camping trio.

OK! As long as I don't have to make that whooshing sound with each cut lol😅.I like that cut as well. One viewer made a good point. The cut is contained in my personal space when other people are around. Another safety aspect to proper knife use. Always. Safety first. The last thing you want to do is break out the first aid kit let alone the trauma kit 😮😢 . Thanks for all the idea's and work you do Felix. Massive value in all of it. Take care.

I like the design of this knife , especially the 1/4 inch bit holder at the rear. I have Victorinox knives and multi tools and like them a lot. My only concern is the high price. It won't be long before average quality knock offs are produced.

LG

Hey FELIX I take it your the SAK REPRESENTATIVE. Please if you could I have noticed less saks with the magnify glass being produced. I think a great bushmaster sak would have the following as a new model.
    1. Large blade and small blade
    2. Saw
    3.magnify glass
    4.awl
    5.can and bottle openers
    6.carry hook
    7. Cork screw
Then toothpick, tweezers, and the ferro rod.
Perfect for all conditions for fire starting and preparation. Magnify glass on clear day and ferro for wet conditions. What do think? Please suggest such a model as I would buy it and most likely plenty others . 🤔😉👍🤝🤞🙏
