What has the phone got to do with immobiliser? And how do totally remove that light from reappearing?
I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a HID swipe card on my keys that was interfering with the car. Only happened sometimes, when i held the keys with the card close enough to the barrel.
Any idea how to disable that on a 2015 chevy malibu?
I have a 2017 Colorado, which I purchased around jul 2022. Since that time I have had constant computer warnings flash up on the dash and within 30 minutes or less they have inevitably led to the vehicle failing completely. That is, engine now turned off, but cannot take out keys, or move from park, without either disconnecting the battery, or pushing the little button at the front of the auto shift to allow shifter to move from park.
The auto electrician has replaced 3 key components in the computer area, the abs , and i think the other is called a bcu, and the engine managment module as well. Each time the intermittent fault goes away, only to return months later.
It starts usually with 'service 4wd' then reverse camera fails, the if I'm in traffic, the transmission will start changing up and down unneccesarily like it's hiccupping and jolting, then indicators fail, then come back, same with speed indicator , but headlights remain on. 4 diff auto elecs have had a go at it, and the holden dealership team have blame corroded electrical contacts on the harness , twice now, and think it had prev been submerged. however the other 3 guys all say this is nonsense, and there is no sign of corrosion. Holden dont even stock an electric harness, will have to order one , and it takes 14 hours to replace, quoted at $3300. but like I said the the other mechanics all say, unequivocally this is rubbish.
Can anyone tell me if they have had similar problems, and what they did to rectify the problem. At the moment, when it fails, I have to go without a vehicle for a week, they tell me the problem disappeared, and tell me what they think it was, I get a bill and then the same damn thing happens months later again. It's has been inoperative for about a third of the time I have had it, and I cannot take it on long drives because I know it will happen again, and again.
Does this work for the 2015 camaro?
Have you had any problems with driver door not registering as being closed and then the driver window not working and driver door not locking? ruled out the door sensor, I am so confused what is causing it...
I drive a 2016 canyon and it has this same issue. no magnets or chargers near the starting column. This issue happens randomly and haven't found a fix, any idea what I could do?
Mine comes on when I have a 12v plugged in the cigarette plug for charging USB
This message came on when I started my 2014 ltz Chevy Silverado and stayed on all they way home . Shut truck off then turned it back on and message was gone . Any ideas?
You’re a beast! That helped and fixed it
2014 chevy cruze. After my car is turned off my car lights and horn are going on. Antitheft message comes on dash. This killed my battery because in the middle of the night the horn and all the lights would flash.
I charged the car battery . I changed the negative side battery cable. I replaced the Antitheft module. I left the battery cables unattached for 5 hours. And it still is happening. I don’t know if it’s the computer system. Something is making the Antitheft go on.
Going through this problem right now with Chevy Cruze 2014. Please let me know what was the solution if you ever ended up getting it fixed
im having that exact problem with a colorado but i dont have that charger hooked up
My 2019 Colorado ZR2 just starting doing this a couple days ago. At this point it's random. Sometimes it starts fine. Other times, as he demonstrated, it won't start. When it won't start, turning the key off and trying again has started it so far. Repeatedly trying to start without turning the key off won't work. I got the service anti theft deterrent system and service towing package messages for the first time today. Nothing has been added since I bought the truck and the battery hasn't had any problems.
Damn i thought you were on to something. Mines doing the same thing. But i dont have any of that.
Maybe cause the steering wheel is on the wrong side
What if it starts but the light is on?
I have had that issues from wireless chargers too.. First thing I would do is to unplug or disconnect any non standard equipment one by one in your vehicle and see if the issue goes away. If not It will require scanning by Holden or Auto Electrician to find the fault.
We get it, it doesn’t start… show the fix already
Same thing happening to my mates Holden Colorado. Theft deterrent system and won’t start. Now batteries playing up and never had issue before, is it something to do with the immboliziwr not engaging with the car ? Would the battery in car key maybe have anything to do with this? Any help on this would be appreciated thanks
Your car thinks it’s stolen
get to the point you ramble so much
I just had this same problem on my 2016 Colorado. As soon as you said "RFID" I instantly knew what the problem was. I had connected my key to the fob with a fly-fishing magnetic coupler a few days prior. Removed the magnet, and up she started. Thanks!
