It's very interesting to see how people who are non-latino see our culture, especially Koreans. The latino culture is so beautiful, and intimate, sometimes it is odd to me that some people take it the wrong way. Our language is romance, as is our dancing, and culture in general. Very true, Despacito is a product of the Caribbean (composers, singers, model, dancers, location, video, etc. are the product of Puerto Rico) with the exception of Erika Ender who helped compose the song and is from Panamá. Not all Latin American is only from South America.

The main guitar used in this song is "El Cuatro" Puertorriqueno, meaning "the four" named like that because it was a 4 string guitar but evolved to a 5 double string guitar for a total of 10 strings. It is our national instrument. the song is a fusion of Pop, reggeaton and folklore music from Puerto Rico. We are very proud of our culture thats why Luis Fonsi wanted this video to show it. The people on the streets, laughing, singing, dancing having a good time. the scene on the "bar" where they all dancing to the rythm of the "congas" ... this take roots on the dance of "bomba" y "plena" very folkorick music. I think that most of the comments you guys make are really awful... Here in Latin America we stand for being who we really are, not only for our looks. Maybe in Korea the idol stands out a lot but many of your idols that have skill go through many operations to look good while here we believe that idols that show as they are is really good because they are not a lie, they don't deceive their audience into making them think that looks its all that matters. In Latin America we have the belief that if someone that looks alIke has talent he might try to achieve success using his talent not depending only on his looks, in Korea on the other part the looks are even more important than the talent and that's your way of seeing thing but don't critize our culture because we believe everyone is perfect the way we are. I am not latina , I am from the Balkans but I am used to Latin music because I listen to it for a long time now. And the videos aren't new to me. Every time that they say South America in Despacito make me rage, see this is the only thing I don't like from this kind of reaction videos that they don't get the time for a little back ground check of the video you don't have to know the artist but at least the origin of the video.This video was recorded in Puerto Rico that is located in the Caribbeans. And a little bit about Fonsi and Yankee they are 39 and 40 years old the same for Shakira she is 40 so yeah they are old.
