I stand by my opinion that she isn't actually that powerful, (for an alicorn,) since she had to use the Elements to defeat her sister, one-on-one. She just used the reputation she built up WITH the Elements to maintain order.
Of course, that's just my theory.

That's actually a very good point, i don't see Celestia as much of a Fighter either, I think she's just an excellent leader who commands her troops, her "troops" being the Mane 6 on most occasions. Luna is no doubt the most powerful of the Alicorns currently, but I think given time Twilight will over take Luna as she grows in her studies. :)
Exactly. What Celestia lacks in power, she makes up for in experience.
I maintain she is the most powerful, it was explained that in addition to the power Queen Chrysalis already had that feeding off the immense love shining Armour had for cadence gave her the boost she needed to beat celestia. and when celestia fought nightmare moon you have to realize two things being that, nightmare moon is not princess luna, she is a pony who is a different color, larger, and has a completely different personality and is probably more powerful when it comes to magic, and that celestia would not want to go all out against her because she was her sister. so it makes sense she would use the elements of harmony against her to banish her rather than fight her. also Celestia is the only pony who has ever used the elements of harmony all on her own with no one to help her. just my two cents.

Lol had to rewatch that part, yeah I talked over it, I try not to do that now when I hear an explanation being brought up, these reactions are a lot older though, I was still relatively new at it. But I have seen the episode multiple times since so I know the reason, it's no big deal.

Making Celestia merry would cause such a shit storm in the fandom and I won't even mention mane 6, that would make me consider leaving the fandom
Also if Celestia got married I feel like if would come out of nowhere, we don't know about any Alicorn prince who was alive for the last 1000 years and she doesn't really seem like someone who'd want to get married all that much
now for the dark side of MLP, it's possible she has married and buried several husbands.
Back then, no one had a clue on who is a changeling and who isn't.
Later episodes revealed that the weakness in the changelings are in their eyes and the palm of their hooves.

When those changelings began to morph into duplicates of the Mane Six, I noticed the latter are easily distracted by what's in front of them. The trick into figuring out who's a changeling and who's not are the palm of their hooves. They can change their physical appearance and voices flawlessly, but it's not entirely perfect.

Omg I am literally 8 episodes away from " A Canterlot Wedding" I have been so pumped abiut watching the 2 part episodes since I started season 1. I cannot wait for what's about to happen!!
So based on certain events I believe seasons 1 through the first episode of season 4 take place over the course of a single year so we don't know how long Twilight has been there maybe only a few months by this point so her having a brother may have just never come up.
That's not quite accurate, it's more than a year since the first episode for sure.
Season 4 opens with the first summer sun celebration since Luna's return from the moon the summer sun celebration was the catalyst for the mane six meeting assuming the summer sun celebration is a yearly event that would make it 1 year.
No princess is born a alicorn except for flurry heart she is the only one so far to be born one they earn the right to be a princess by doing something worthy of the title
And now for that episode that caused me to write a comment so long that I got a cramp.

Twilight, literally in the last episode we learned not to jump to conclusions and search for clues first and while this example is less rediculus than Pinkie's ones and she actually turned out to be right but she might as well have been wrong and what Shining said after Cadance left crying could have really been the case so you're just making the same mistake that Pinkie did literally one episode ago... and you said that she was acting silly
The music you're using at the start there, before your reaction starts... where is that from? I know I've heard it before, but I can't recall what game... and it's now bugging me XD

I love the song this day aria! It's probably the most popular mlp song ! A lot of people make music videos using the song! My favorite is one about rainbow dash and spitfire (Spitfire being as queen Chrasilys) and spitfire trying to disguise as rainbow to ruin her reputation and her wedding with soarin cause of pure jealousy! I've also seen a few about Jesse and the admin from minecraft story mode!

Oh btw did You know there's a season 2 of minecraft story mode? the villain is a guy named " the admin" ( but his real name is Romeo) who basically is the mine craft equivalent to discord XD ( but he isn't evil for the sake of being evil he's evil all because he couldn't have his friends together and he killed his friend cause of anger so he's been wanting to find new friends but he isn't happy with what he calls flaws (Jesse wanting to work together even though he's in a competition with his friends,things that he doesn't like about them). Also there is more character development for new and even old characters! Especially Petra who is worrying and wanting Jesse and her other friends to stay together and go on adventures, not because she just wants adventure but because she is feeling lonely and maybe even depressed cause her friends aren't together. She also is upset cause all her friends have there own thing (Jesse basically mayor of beacon town, Lukas writing, etc) but she feels like she doesn't.
Damn...I'm missing out on a lot, I only ever played through the first chapter, never got the rest and now there is a season 2? That's cray! XD
Ikr! Ya know you could just watch someone's gameplay of it XD. But seriously you missed a lot. Wither storms, aiden trying to take over a sky city, a computer trying to make everything "useful" by basically mind controlling them including Petra and Lukas that if you choose one of the choices YOU HAVE TO FREAKING FIGHT PETRA OR LUKAS, a psycho white pumpkin mansion murder mystery with real youtubers, and more!
Heck it's so hard to keep track of how many freaking times Petra nearly died!

I get she raises the which is pretty impressive and can turn ponies into alicorns. but in the face of danger she either loses or sends twilight to do it for her. all I'm saying is maybe the princesses aren't as powerful as we were lead to believe! Starlight took over a whole village and did some crazy things and wasn't even a alicorn. TWILIGHT didn't even know it was possible so maybe celestia just isn't as powerful? just a thought. Also to not just single out celestia , luna and cadence saved the world once outa all those times. I think the princess who actually does things is twilight and her friends ( I'm not counting how celestia and Luna raise and lower the sun and moon). but I want one thing for mlp to not do, NO MORE ALICORNS! It started with only two then three then four now FIVE! FIVE Alicorns I wonder if they will turn the mane six into alicorns now wouldn't surprise me
Hey it's your opinion so I won't say you're wrong, but I can say what I see with the show.
I agree on your point of the princesses not being as powerful as we are lead to believe, but I think that the reason for that is because they hold back their full power...I think it's fairly obvious from seeing all that magic pour into Twilight from the 3 Princesses in the Season 4 finale that they have Massive raw power! But if they used their full power they would do some serious damage.
Also I would like to mention that Celestia and Luna are over 1,000 years old, and they may look good for that age, but I can imagine after living that long of a life they have had enough of protecting, Luna was imprisoned in the moon for 1,000 years, but she still had to live up there, alone...imagine what that does to a pony? I'm only 24 years old, and already I have been through enough pain in my life to wish my existence away a few times when I was depressed...with running an entire kingdom for 1,000 years, and all those years of hating herself for banishing her own sister to the moon...I have to admit, if this show was able to display 18+ story lines...I would imagine by now Celestia would have tried ending her life on many occasions during her thousand years.
Also the reason she let's Twilight handle it is because she knows how important she is, she's so wise! Celestia must have recognised Twilight's cutie mark ever since it appeared, she didn't take her under her wing as a personal student just because she saw her magic was powerful, but because she noticed her cutie mark resembled a symbol on the tree of harmony, even Twilight when she first saw the tree was surprised and she said "Is that my Cutie mark?" Assuming you have seen the Season 7 finale, if you haven't don't read this next paragraph.
*WARNING SPOILERS FOR THE PARAGRAPH*
Starswirl and the Pillars planted a seed which grew into the Tree of Harmony, it spawned the Elements which at that time represented The pillars versions of the elements which are "Strength, Healing, Hope, Beauty, Bravery and Sorcery" Twilight's cutie mark was embedded into the Tree of Harmony ever since the beginning, a thousand years before she was born! Obvious this show has shown to have deep meanings and shows destiny is a real thing.

Basically what I am saying is that Celestia planned to have Twilight and her friends replace her,k she is retired! She may still have energy and youth for her long age, but she is emotionally drained, same goes with Luna. Cadence on the other hand is different, she has played her part, she governs the Crystal Empire and protects it by spreading love and light, and she now has a family too...I don't think the alicorn thing is too crazy, 5 isn't exactly a massive number, I imagine at once time Equestria had a whole race of Alicorns, much like Unicorns, Earth Ponies and Pegasi, back waaaay before Celestia and Luna's existence.
So there ya go, that is my reasoning, I kind of want to make a video on this now, but I'll wait, this is my opinion of course and doesn't make it more true than your version, it just means with have differing mind sets on the matter, which is completely fine of course. :)

I notice you tend to be confused about a lot of things, perhaps talking less?
No that wouldn't matter, I just have a learning disability, I lack the ability to retain too much info at once, I never remember things in movies or TV shows unless I have watched them several times. For my Season 8 reactions I have bee taking notes recently, and that is helping me to remember things and talk about it at the end.
