Making Leonardo from IDW Comics - TMNT Customs

On this weeks episode of the OnGreenShow I show how I made Leonardo from the IDW Ninja Turtles comics out of a 2012 TMNT bootleg figure I got off Amazon. I've used everything from hockey stick tape to green stuff to an old shoe to create this five turtle IDW custom TMNT set and Leo is the last to join the squad. I remember before neca released their turtles these were the turtles everyone was using to customize. Hopefully Neca gets around to making some idw comic turtles.

Totally dude, they’re doing mirage recently, so maybe in ten years. There were the Batman crossover toys but I never saw them for sale anywhere, the comics need to get a movie then we’ll see a toy line.

The way you make the belts is Amazing as always bro, great job! Would you recommend that green putty? I’m currently working on a 87 Donatello using a water spittin’ Raphael and I’m closing part of the mouth and I wanted to try something more seamless than poly clay I was using.

Thanks Dude, I really like the green stuff, it’s great for filling in a mouth. Sometimes it will leave a seam, that’s when I break out the spackling. So ya I would recommend the green stuff but if seams are your issue I think spackling could be your answer. ( green stuff is the only putty I’ve used so I don’t know if it’s better than any other brand )
