Gary!!! Love this new yarn and have not seen it yet! And the Boundless is perfect for you! This color is all you and the name says it all because you’re it’s are always Boundless! Beautiful purchases! And as for me, I see a beautiful blanket either crocheted or knit!
Thank you so kindly TheSablelou! Your comments are always so uplifting. I agree that these need to be incorporated together in something squishy - like a throw or blanket!
I'm on a granny square kick lately - if my testing goes well with a smaller project, then a blanket is my mostly likeliest project I'll be making with them.
Hi Gary! I really love the cowl you're wearing. The colors you chose are just beautiful together. You are "the color master"! 😊 I like the serenity colorway best. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Chad and family. Enjoy your visit! Til next time! 🤗
Hi Gary I loved the Caron Macchiato Cakes, but alas have never used them. I especially liked the autumnal vibe color combo you liked. Have a good rest of your day.
Serenity Macchiatto colorway is perfectly named. I'm making a throw with it, but I'm not having any shedding, it's crocheting up nicely. The color is truly beautiful
This is good to know about the shedding. I think the batch I got may settle down with the shedding after I use it a bit. I'm crossing my fingers that after one wash it'll all come good.
Thanks so much Lynanne - I think you'll be pleasantly happy with what Michaels has on their shelves right now. Hopefully your Michaels has all the new stuff stocked - I know they sometimes target certain store locations and not others.
Those are all beautiful yarn cakes. To pick a favorite is hard but I’d have to say blue. I have not used it because of the wool blend. I hope you, Chad and the families had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. 🦃
My Daughter lives in Canada and celebrated Thanksgiving Day there. It's so weird saying that before Halloween :) I hope everyone had a lovely holiday and a enjoyed their day off.
We did have a lovely time with family over Thanksgiving. You must be from the US - and I know your Thanksgiving is in November, so I'm sending my greetings to you and yours!
Hi Gary! The yarn that you liked the most is the same I liked the most, those are my colours! I love my fall colours, can’t wait to see what you create with them. Greetings from Toronto to you and yours
Both cowls are gorgeous but I love the green it's my favorite color but I love all you do. I haven't used the caron macchaoto cakes, they look beautiful.
Love the 3 color cowl!! I may need to add that to my to-do list. 😉 I think my favorite of the macchiato is the same as yours!! But, nope nope nope, i don't need anything more yarn!! 🤣😂🤣😂
@@urbanyarn 😂🤣😂🤣. Yup!!! I failed!! I found a Jimmy Bean's wools gift card that I had misplaced, of course I rounded up for free shipping.... My BFF saw the "tooth and claw cowl" & so I needed worsted. 🤷. She wants solid vs stripey.
Hi Gary! I love the Boundless, autumnal one but they all go well together. I agree that the blue is slightly different but just as beautiful. I think I would make a big blanket and use the blue as a border (and as a visible join if you do squares). I also love the cowl you're wearing - very inspiring and a good stash buster.
Hi Gary. Both neck scarves looks amazing. I saw those yesterday at Michael's. They're nice but I prefer be Cinnamon Swirls. I would make a throw with those since its flyaway on the edges.
Dear Gary, Enjoy your holiday! Love the Caron Cakes, although that 'pilling' is something to consider, thank you for sharing. I would do a small swatch and I would wash it to see how the fiber 'react'.. Happy Thanksgiving❤
I think that tip is very wise - I may make a quick hat and wash/wear it for a few days. (You've just helped me decide on what I'm going to test the Macchiato on... yay!)
@@urbanyarn I really love it. When I showed my daughter and granddaughter my granddaughter said Nanny I want one of those. So when I finish my Gifts to my Sister-in-law for her thanksgiving table. I have a cornucopia, fall leaves, a medium size white pumpkin, and some corn with the husk, and two smaller pumpkins made with pumpkin colored yarn. All Bag-O-Day patterns. I just need to make another pumpkin. Then I will make my baby her shawl then it's all about Christmas gifts.
Love the cowl you're wearing, it looks great on you. I love your haircut. I've never tried that yarn. I'm not real real crazy on halos on yarn. I loved the one that was your favorite, it was my fave to. Hope you had a very blessed Thanksgiving ❤🤗
I know what you mean about a fuzzy yarn. It's hard to want to make a intricate stitch out of it, because it's all gets lost under the halo. However, with the loss of stitch definition, there's plenty of soft and cozy quality.
Oh no! I have heard that from others as well - not all the Michaels are updated with the newest stocks. That's no fun. At times it happens here too and I end up shopping online.
Hello Gary. I love all of the colors there have . I do not have to try the yarn . It would be nice if there had a solid colors. Thank you Gary for a an other great video. See you on the next one.
Again Gary.. No Pixel lol 😂 I don’t have this yarn but they are pretty. I’m always going to say go with making a long comfy oversized cardigan..cause that’s just me lol 😜 but a blanket too would be great as well. My first choice is the Cardi though 🤪 Do a crochet project with pretty please 🙏🏻 🤗😋 Have a great week!
Boundless is my favorite. I would recommend making a poncho as it would be easier to wash and no underarm rubbing of the yarn. I have not used this yarn.
Hi Gary, I bought the Macchiato in beige tones and made hat and cowl. Despite the wool content, the result is so lightweight, I’m concerned the warmth is not sufficient for Quebec winters. Very disappointed, maybe a blanket project would be better.
Hi Gary. Beautiful yarn! All of the colors are lovely. I can’t pick a favorite, lol. Love the scarf/shawl you’re wearing and the brioche cowl is stunning! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Thanks for sharing!
You just keep getting more accomplished with each item... Could you tell me how you got started knitting? Did you learn by book or tutorials? Any hints or tricks?
Hi Val - thank you very kindly for your comment and questions. Your remark on the accomplishments really is encouraging. I started my Crochet/Knit journey from UA-cam tutorials - then later when I had the basics down, I went to books and patterns. The best part about learning from UA-cam tutorials is that the amount of visual and audio instruction is so varied and quick. I would learn small chunks at a time, but spend hours trying out many tutorials of the the same thing. Learning from multiple teachers and finding out different ways to do things. I've discovered a few unique finds in my crafting techniques - for instance, I wrap my yarn pull-through loops in crochet in the reverse and I knit through the back loop if my stitches are twisted, saves me having to turn them to the right way.
I have been hesitant to purchase this yarn because of the fuzzies. Anxious to see how it works up! I thought I would like for blankets, but not if I have to hand wash and lay flat to dry.
I like how the yarn looks, but I'm nervous about how the fuzz will behave during washing or during use over time. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to hearing how you fared with that. ❤
Michael’s yarn has become so expensive. I rarely shop there any longer and it used to be my “go to”. Looking forward to seeing what gorgeous items you will create! ❤️🧶
Our thanksgiving in America is about the third week of November. My eyes are always searching your background, delighting in your makes and color choices. Your cowl today is especially beautiful. My favorite color is also green! Can’t pick a favorite color among the Macchiato cakes-love them all!!!
That yarn is so pretty! I think my fav is the first one with the subtle greens, but I wouldn’t say no to any of them, I guess it depends on the project. Thanks for sharing!😊
I just ordered 6 cakes of Boundless during their sale of buy 2 get 1 and am currently knitting a blanket. So soft, and easy to frog. lol. (I started crocheting then switched) I love the idea of you making a shacket style garment. Happy Thanksgiving to give you and your family!
The colors of the yarns are beautiful, but personally I'm not sure how I feel about the fuzziness. The bags in the background however are FABULOUS! I'm assumuning you made them?
I understand how fuzzy yarns are a bit to desire (especially for frogging). Oh - the baskets in the background were ones I made about a year ago. They were made from my scrap left-overs.

I love the autumnal colors and the green the best. Look forward to your use of the yarn!

Thanks Lynette. I think I may have landed on something. Now just need to find the time... LOL!
Yes, I was drawn to the boundless color way however, a blanket would be gorgeous with all the colors. It would make a warm blanket for Canada. Be Well

Always so nice to see and hear you, Gary!

I knitted a cowl and beret set in whisper colorway... I can't wait to gift it at Christmas!!
These gifts you made sound exceptional - and what lucky recipients your friends/family are to be receiving them!

Hi Gary, my favorite yarn color is the soulful. Belated happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🫓.
A beautiful colour choice DragonKat!
Beautiful yarns Gary! Love the Boundless ❤
I love all the cakes boundless is my favorite. I’ve made granny pop cardigans and getting ready to make me a throw.
The Granny Pop Cardigan sounds extremely exciting. Did you make it on the fly or to a pattern?
Hi Gary, hope y’all had a great Thanksgiving.
Even tho I’m not one for fuzzy yarns, the boundless is my fav. Those colors are giving me Autumn vibes.
Beautiful looking yarn. Haven’t tried it as we don’t have that store over here.☹️👍🧶🤗
I just made a shawl using 2 cakes of the color bewitch. I love this yarn.
A wonderful project to make with the Macchiato cakes. It must be so warm and squishy soft!
@urbanyarn Yes, it is. I'm in Pennsylvania, and it's starting to get cold. It's perfect timing for me to get in done.
I love Boundless! It’s my fave too!!
Yay - for all the Autumnal colours Erin!

Love the solitude colour. Will be interesting to hear if it softens further after a wash, and about the pilling.
I have a plan to do a small experiment first before beginning to make anything "big" with the new Macchiato cakes.
I have had my eye on this yarn, I am thinking a throw blanket would be nice. Love the boundless.
Great idea for this yarn!
