I run an AR10 308 right now with ATN night vision but as I get older those big calibers are to loud. My ears will ring after I shoot at night and I can’t hear the hogs that are running or worse yet maybe a wounded hog that may charge me. I’m picking up a Marlin 22magnum and putting a Sightmark night vision on it. It’s a little more powerful than the 22 long rifle I’ve been using but not as loud as my 308, 270, 7mm, 556, 300 blackout, ect. We can hunt at night on our private land but every state has different laws and you can’t hunt at night on public land.
