    Awesome interview! I’ve seen their pits at Hurtado’s but didn’t know much about them. That 1975t is on my wish list. It’s perfect to take to a friends house or family gathering to cook on-site!
    I really enjoy your content and appreciate your time and effort to bring these stories to everyone.

      @@kevinsbbqjoints customer service has been solid, actually exchanged a few emails with them on another topic; but one thing I learned, I confused the anticipated start date for the anticipated completion date, so while I went into this thinking I would have my smoker ready in time for thanksgiving turkey, I now learned that the smoker start to be built October 24th, I still dont have an estimated completion date, hope that gives you a data point, I'm going to keep my order and just hold onto my Oklahoma Joe's to get me by until the 1969 is ready

      @@halomaster9640 a 500 is only 3-ft longer than a 250. A 500 has a 38-in diameter vs. a 250’s 31-in diameter. That’s a lot more space on not that much bigger of a footprint 🤔

    This guy takes a lot of veiled shots about other pit builders, while explaining away how bad some of his own products have been. What a clown. Anyone who has seen up close or used a primitive know how much “science and engineering” went into it.

    • @darrenc3895
      @darrenc3895 2 роки тому +4

      AJ You call JD a clown? He didn't start Primitive as a welder like yourself. He is an engineer and it might be warranted to do deeper research as I have done. I personally know (not including myself) two CFD FEA engineers that have had face to face meetings with JD and he provided scientific explanations and data. I flat out ask him where he did CFD testing. So many people choose Primitive because he hides nothing and the smokers work extremely well. I also asked Mark Black of Terry Black's who owns Moberg's, Mill Scale and Primitive.
