can see this being very handy especially in the motorhome /campervan application where space is at a premium and not everyone wants to go round shifting things when you need to turn something on and off ,have used remote controlled sockets in the past indoors where getting to a switch on a socket has been an issue but this product can turn things on that are not actually connected to a socket to draw its power very clever
We have a Amazon "smart plug" in our van to control the oil filled radiator atm! That, in conjunction with the dehumidifier, keeps the condensation at bay and the temperature above 5C. Our power banks will be getting some serious use at Vanlove Fest in July. Stay safe guys. Sid and Nicola, Rugby
The simplest things are always the best. I've bought a different operating switch (not simple) and the instruction booklet has yet to be read.I'll be taking my Degree of how to operate it soon!!! Thanks for the info Ken.
Interesting device. P.S. you may want to consider a renogy inverting as they act like an uninterrupted power supply. Avoiding the need to have a changeover switch
This could be genius Ken. I take it that the powerbank needs to be left on in the boot/cupboard so when the bot is activated it powers the 230v inverter. Gives it that bit more remote control of the power bank in awkward places which is what I need for my Aferify
@@LifeistooshortCK OK thanks. My PB needs to be powered up before I can power on the 230v sockets so i would need to leave the box on or at least start it in the morning initially. Curious to know what you were doing with the socket in the van, was that just a plug/cable from the PB 230v to a hardwired to a socket on the wall so that you could use a socket in the van? cheers
Just out of interest what’s changed that you are now fitting an inverter rather than when you first got the van? Have you learned something that might benefit someone else making a similar decision?
Absolutely brilliant idea
The simlpest of ideas is usually the best. Well done Ken.
That is brilliant!
Thank you. I didn't know such a thing existed.
neither did I until I had the problem😁👍
Holly moly. We need this for our Jackery.

Yes it replicates the mark 1 finger 😁👍
As i have my morning Cuppa tea 🍵 I'm thinking this is bloody clever 😊🎉
That's cool ,I never even knew they existed 😂. Nice one
Nice.
Never seen those before, a natty lil item. Thanks, Em 💜
Never seen anything like that. Friendly little chap 😅🐕🚙
Such a handy dandy gadget! Mary
Love my switchbot. Next time I but another I’ll use your link :)
What are you using it with?

all the best for passing out 😁👍
A most satisfying solution just seeing the arm coming down I can imagine your grin
😁👍
Good idea for the beer dispenser.
now I need to order another one😁👍
Clever…

thanks for the tip
Well, that's a clever solution. Does the switchbot have a battery that you have to keep an eye out for? Thanks for the video
It takes a CR2 battery. They claim it lasts 600 days being operated twice a day. Time will tell but they are cheap and easy to source
This could be genius Ken. I take it that the powerbank needs to be left on in the boot/cupboard so when the bot is activated it powers the 230v inverter. Gives it that bit more remote control of the power bank in awkward places which is what I need for my Aferify
no, the power bank can be left in a completely off state it is the physical press of that button that operates the Jackery and turns it on👍

Yes simply a pass through so that I don’t need to go into the cupboard.
Nice goin tryin to patch in my bluetooth with the XTrail, rather have an Iload but, don't tell anybody! Have fun, stay vertical Eh!
It’s our secret 😁👍
Just out of interest what’s changed that you are now fitting an inverter rather than when you first got the van? Have you learned something that might benefit someone else making a similar decision?
We have more power than we can possibly use so an inverter will allow us to use the excess for cooking and make the LPG go even further. 👍
Did I miss something did y decide not to name your new motorhome as mentioned several videos before?
Yes we named it Snoopy 👍
Now you need to figure out how to power the Switchbot from the Jackery.
It takes one CR2 battery. They claim the battery will last for 600 days if you activate it twice a day.
I don't see the link,
It’s at the bottom of the description, you need to tap “more” then it’s under things we use in the van
@@NeathVideosI can only see the amazonlist
It’s within the Amazon list
😂
Hi Ken. I can voice control mine. The command is “ELLIE TURN IT ON” 😂
Great little gadget 👍🙏😍🚐
😁😁😁👍
Trying to understand how the watt hours equates to things. Does 1000wh mean you could run 1 x 100w bulb for 10 hrs for example.
Yes 👍
