Not what I expected, but not gonna deny I am looking forward to seeing more of this man, no matter where I get to see him. I haven't even shot a bow in over 5 years at this point, but something about Jim is just... welcoming.
Jim is the reason I even picked up a bow 10 years ago, he's also the reason I shoot traditional. Good to see him back. Hope we get to see the longer, cinematic stuff soon.
It makes me feel so good to see you back with your new studio with a refreshed face on the channel. Welcome!🏹I really enjoy the stumping with friends videos.
This is great news, good for you both, I hope you both make the most of it and you can express the creativity you’ve been striving for. I, for one, will be excited to see what comes forth. And I’ll be looking at Merlin as a supply option to help support what it’s doing. Brave
Excellent to have you back....your videos were the first traditional archery that I watched, then power watched all I could find.i was switching from compound back to traditional archery and your passion for archery rekindled a fire I lost..also I truly love the Grizzly strings..my 50#Bear grizzly loves the string you made me, and my 50# takedown loves the fast flight ... grizzly balls are a nice added touch... keep up the great work
Let's go! Super excited to have you back here. I've been away from shooting due to a torn rotator cuff - hope to get that healed up quickly and continue to be inspired by your content.
Hey Grizzly Jim, I've always enjoyed your videos. You have a special talent with great character and charisma that makes people feel good. God bless you man
This is fantastic news bu I wish you all of the very best in life, you work hard and deserve it. Looking forward to seeing and watching your content and maybe a visit to my club 3D woodland for a shoot like we did at Joe’s Bows in Kent 🏹🦌
I am currently out of action myself, but I am looking forward to seeing what you and the Merlin team get up to next. Hopefully, a few guest appearances at the Durham store and a dedicated Merlin product line for us traditional shooters!!👍
Hi Iim. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. If you would like a suggestion for another video, how about “is string walking the best way to shoot a traditional bow?” The reason I ask is that my new Bearpaw Creed bow is 2# lighter draw than my current MyBo WaveXR aluminium riser/ ILF setup, both which came from Merlin. I use the MyBo as a barebow so no sights. When I shoot the Creed with 3 fingers under the nocking point, it seems sweeter, more accurate and faster than the other bow despite the lower poundage. However, when shooting shorter distances, say 25m, I have to string walk at least 4 or 5cm down the string when I target the point of the arrow on the gold of the target. When I stringwalk, the bow sounds harsh and the feedback isn’t smooth. Therefore, a video on the best way to target an arrow whilst shooting a traditional bow without string walking would be great. The only solution I can think of is to aim much lower than the gold, and use intuition / the Force (which isn’t currently 😅one of my skills because I’ve only been learning 6m). I’ve read about intuitive shooting which needs thousands of hours practice and some people never feel it. Where does a newbie start ? Cheers. Mike
