This is incredible. Jonah rejected the Word of God, but it was through his rejections the gentiles learned to fear YHWH. It’s a picture of the Jewish nation rejecting Jesus and yet it being the means through which the Gentiles learn about YHWH. Jesus is the one who would die for our sins and yet Jonah was willing for others to be at risk because of his own sin. It’s ironic. The Gentiles are willing to risk their lives for Jonah. None the less, when God would not be satisfied with anything less than the life of Jonah, they “lifted him up”. Who does this sound like? It’s through the lifting up of Jonah the wrath of God is appeased. It’s the good news to the gentiles. Jonah the unwilling prophet, still gives us a picture of Christ. Amazing!
I wonder if the image of Christ sleeping in the stern of the boat (on a cushion) during the storm is also a deliberate sequel to Jonah being asleep in the hold of the boat at the moment of crisis

Excellent break down! I often feel like Jonah when I look out upon the sea of the lost. They're so proud of their sin and debauchery. Then I'm reminded of how I wallowed in the same sin and obediently witness to them. But the struggle is real to even bother. Good thing Jesus is in charge and not me or Jonah! Eternally merciful He is.
And I wonder, is the house of Judas that they find Saul at, THE Judas? I wonder if he had been the man that worked with Judas before Judas "followed" Christ. Interesting. I've had conversations about whether or not we pay for sins here that we must pay for, once we repent, instead of having to suffer them after death. The verse about Paul specifically having to be shown to suffer seems to answer "yes" to me. It felt more pointed due to his specific transgressions vs the suffering we all undergo for taking up our cross and being against the world. It felt different. God gives pure justice so I'd guess we do have to still make up for certain things to become better Saints. Since we also all sin, but sin still varies of course.
Amazing. Thank you. For Yom Kippur my children have been learning the theme of forgiveness and repentance and Jonah was one of those situations from the Old Testament. This is wonderful information I had forgot/not known linked Jonah to The Lord! 🙏 Only now I will go back and see if most versions (older) actually say "convert". My husband and I have issues with this term because people seem to to use it synonymous with "save" as of it's their evangelizing that saves the person....they can only be saved by God and their own choice to accept that salvation and have a relationship with God personally. We are to share information that will hopefully inspire them to seek the Truth, the Way, the Life. But we as humans born of sin do not actually make that shift for others. Maybe it's a semantic issue for me.

Christianity unlike every other religion is predicated on what God did for us not what good deeds we have to do to be saved. All anyone needs to do to be saved is to repent of their sins and believe on Jesus’ atoning sacrifice for our sins on the cross. Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Since the Bible teaches that it’s impossible for God to lie, why not take this promise from the King of the universe to the bank.

A Phoenician inscription from around the time of Jonah informs us that one of the chief centers of worship to Dagon was Joppa-the city where Jonah boarded the ship. So it looked to the Ninevites that their God had come to them in their time of trouble because history shows us that there had been a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse and a famine and a civil war. They believed that they were doomed to destruction. This may be why they believed in Jonah. just a (historical) observation.
That's WILD! Glory to YHWH! 🙌 That makes plenty of sense. This reminds me of the curses to Egypt in Moses' time. The Egyptians worshipping Ra, the sun god that was blotted out for several days. Which is underappreciated by people today I think....how much their time keeping was based on the sun and shadows, the crops, what little they had left, vitamin D, using up all the more oil to see with....on TOP of the idea that the God of the Hebrews just makes their god look like child's play. So no doubt in my mind that's more meaningful with Jonah. Thank you for that! I hope you're day of Atonement has been a blessing and that you enjoy Sukkot, the time our Lord brought new meaning in his birth as Emmanuel! 🙏 ✨ 🐑
The eclipse you reference was in 763BCE, which coincides with Jonah's time. The eclipse likely drove the point of Jonah's short sermon (Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.) home and they repented.
Jonah was preaching at Nineveh that if it don't repent in 40 days it would be overthrown. Because of the miracle, they believed and was saved. Now the Jews, despite seeing many the miracles and even seeing the Christ dying and rising again, did not repent, and in 40 days (or years, from 30 to 70) they were overthrown and their temple was destroyed.
Finally Someone besides me teaching [people that Jonah went into Sheol, meaning he actually dies just like Yeshua died. He was dead for not 3 days, or 3 part days and 2 night, but 3 days and 3 nights. Thank you.
Judas heard Jesus say that his miracle would be the miracle of Jonah. If he had had faith and repented he could have been saved. He needed to remember that Jesus would return in three days and three nights. Double predestination obliterated. Judas’ desire to run from God was similar to Jonah, but it was for shame rather than pride. Regardless, Judas was unable to reconcile his choices and what they precipitated. Understandable, but avoidable damnation. Guys, God is greater than we can comprehend. There is no running from him. It’s better to walk the path he laid out for us instead of trying to flee from him. God be with all of you, this day and forevermore.
He refused to tell them God would forgive them, but just the fact that he came and said they would be destroyed that they got the message that if they are good God will forgive them because they forgave him
I have seen the sarcophagus of Jonah in its original resting place, before isis sissys detroyed it. A powerful thing. Pray for those brave Christian warriors that have protected that sacred land throughout all the ages...they are true martyrs and they have seen the Face of God in His Glory. Amen 🙏
The WORD/SON of YHVH/FATHER came to JONAH /DOVE/HOLY SPIRIT….shortly after the 3 days was PENTECOST when the faithful from other countries were in Jerusalem..they received the HOLY SPIRIT and when they went back home to their gentile countries the HOLY SPIRIT went with them…the time given to the gentiles to repent was 40 days…40 x 50 ( jubilee years ) is 2,000 years ..Got Torah Got Truth
Good Friday afternoon through Saturday until early Sunday morning is three-days and TWO-nights, at best. It's only about 39hrs, even if Jesus left the tomb as late as sunrise on Sunday (but He was long gone by then). That's if Catholic tradition is to be believed. If there's an alternate timeline, it'd be nice to hear?
THE NAME JONAH MEANS DOVE. A DOVE IS THE SYMBOL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE SEA REPRESENTS GENTILES. JONAH GOING INTO THE SEA IS THE HOLY SPIRIT GOING TO THE GENTILES
I didn't know this! How wonderful. 💕 And the water baptism and the dove connected...God's glory is so magnificent. It makes me think of Jehovah as a name too. One of many names for YHWH, each of great meaning of course. Shalom! 🙏 I hope you're having a wonderful Yom Kippur, and enjoy Sukkot, the time our Lord was also born into this world dwelling among us, Emmanuel. 🏡
This Jonah is representative of THE CHRIST. Judged, in the judgment then crusifixion , death , in the grave for three days, resurrection. READ carefully
Sorry! Sam goes even deeper with Paul’s conversion which is not related to Jonah, so I cut off here (it’s already 30 minutes long). I’ve clipped the next part which will be published in two days.
Sam, does it not go even deeper? Jonah gave Nineveh 40 days to repent, otherwise their city would be destroyed. Christ told them to repent and gave them the sign of Jonah. They did not repent and Jerusalem was destroyed in 70ad. I don't know if 30ad was the year Christ started His ministry of repentance or the year He was crucified, but I know that it is significant! Ezekiel says a day for a year and a year for a day. So, 40 days for 40 years.
I was pretty sure around 33 AD he started his ministry, but I'm not positive. Interesting to ponder/research as a side quest! 😊 I hope you're having a blessed Yom Kippur and have a wonderful Sukkot, the days during which our savior was born Emmanuel. 🙏
@@ari3lz3pp I'd go with the math 70-40=30. The calendar differences can be accountable for example I think on Roman Yeshua=Jesus birth was 3 BC. Also I hold that Yah is precise and it was to the very day of Yeshua's death.
This video is really annoying for all the people interrupting it with their comments?! People are trying to focus on what is being taught without having to contend with interruptive comments as well? Simonline 🏴🤔😡
There is a certain UA-cam prophet who says the sign of Jonah is when darkness fell over Egypt and claimed the firstborns of the Egyptian. Claiming there will be three days of darkness that will fall upon man for its wickedness. I always found this interesting. What do you think of this? Does it sound liel someone inspired by the holy spirit?
Peter was appointed Apostle to the Gentiles. Saul appointed himself. The Jews rejected Paul. All of Asia rejected Paul. The Church at Ephesus was praised by our Messiah for testing Paul and finding him to be a liar. Rev 2:2.
If that is the case then why did Jesus himself reveal who he was to Saul? Knocked him off his horse and told Aninas about Saul and how much he would have to suffer for his names sake? Did Paul suffer? Yes which was proof of his call and not something you are spouting off....
That man provides his videos free. You collect ad revenue from his work without compensating him. You are wrong for your dishonesty and taking profit from his free teachings of the Bible.
A biblical day starts at dawn, not sunset. There are 7 annual Sabbaths in addition to the weekly Sabbath. A day before a Sabbath is a Preparation Day. Passover is a Preparation Day because the next day is the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Our Messiah died on Passover. It was a Wednesday that year. He was buried just before the day ended at dawn. He resurrected just before dawn the first day of the week. Just before Thursday to just before Sunday is 3 days and 3 nights.

The people of Nineveh worshiped Dagon; the Fish god represented as a Man emerging from a Fish, what do you think the people of Nineveh thought when they saw a man, Jonah, emerging from a fish on the beach?.
Amazing how the whole Bible connecting, also funny that Jonah thought he could run and hide from God who chose him, then of course 3 days and 3 nights, surrounded by water just like the Ark and water baptism (a tomb of water), word pun was not even mentioned yet, both old and new testaments; Lot abused his daughters who turned around abused him back. Esau lost his birthright (bekorah) and blessing (Beracah) over a bowl of lentil by the deception of Rebekah...
The other thing Jesus wanted Known , Jesus slept on a boat when the see and winds bashed the boat , frightening the disciples , Waking JESUS UP As Jonah ,asking Jonah to call on God , Instead Jesus Proved He was God rebuking the Storm . How's that Muslims .
Why do you have to shout throughout all your videos? I really would like to hear more of what you have to say, but I can no longer bear to listen to the shouting. Sorry.
I'm not a fan of shouting either. But I think it's because he usually speaks to individual Muslims and they're quite overbearing and shout people down. So, he used to having to shout to get a word in. Cultural :-)
@@sarahbarr5149Thank you. I am accustomed to people around me who have hearing loss, myself included, and family members, it can make life difficult at times, and he has my sympathy. However, because I am accustomed to it around me, I can tell the difference between a loud voice due to impaired hearing, and shouting. This content maker shouts. It makes it very difficult to listen to his videos. I'm not saying that to be unkind, but it is the reason why I cannot watch them anymore, I cannot bear the shouting. If it was just loud, I could turn down the volume, but it's the shouting that is unbearable.
Christ over all. If you knew the Bible, you would know that Matt 12: 40 is an out of context scripture, People take the ONE out of context scripture and reject the NINETEEN scriptures that say Jesus rose on the 3rd day, you cannot get three days and three nights out of the 3rd day.
Jonah was held captive 3 days & 3 nights. Jesus was held captive starting on Thursday night when he was arrested. Before his arrest Jesus said the hour has come.
Jewish culture counts a day even if it isn't the full 24-hour period. So the first day started on Good Friday, Saturday, and Sunday He rose. That's 3 days.
@@jeremiahchapman9288 I don't know what to tell you. If the explanation I provided doesn't satisfy you, then I highly recommend you pray on it. Jesus always answers a sincere prayer. But in HIs time.... so you may need to be patient. To me - it's a figure of speech. The important part is that Jesus died and raised himself from the dead and offers us His eternal life. And the way the Jews of Jesus' time counted days (and nights) is sufficient to explain any concerns I may have once had. But I'm Catholic and we are not merely literalists with the Bible. We focus on the Literal AND Spiritual meaning of scripture. So the spiritual meaning of what Jesus achieved in the "3 nights and 3 days" is far more important to my faith than using a stop watch to see if the writings are Olympics-level accurate.
no... the big fish... dag gadol... You only hear "screaming" because the Spirit of God is not in you but is upon you and is convicting you of the truth of Jesus Christ. On the last day I will hear the beautiful sound of the Trumpet of the LORD but it will sound like a train to you. Repent and believe in Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul and you will hear the beautiful sound and not the train that would take you to hell.
Yes, Jonah died and was brought to life again , otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have used him as a type of himself because Jesus had to die not just survive. ( and 3 days and 3 nights means he was crucified on Wednesday not Friday as is tradition)
The video gets deeper as you watch it, so don’t miss the last few parts especially from 18:08 onwards.

Btw your name... 😂 No worship to false Gods! 🙏 🕯️ 🕎
Excellent stuff, Halaal Hogan!
The shroud of Turin also has a number three on Christs forehead stained in His blood
He refused to tell them God would forgive them, but just the fact that he came and said they would be destroyed that they got the message that if they are good God will forgive them because they forgave him
Love wins..... The end! ©️
I have seen the sarcophagus of Jonah in its original resting place, before isis sissys detroyed it. A powerful thing.
Pray for those brave Christian warriors that have protected that sacred land throughout all the ages...they are true martyrs and they have seen the Face of God in His Glory. Amen 🙏
The WORD/SON of YHVH/FATHER came to JONAH /DOVE/HOLY SPIRIT….shortly after the 3 days was
PENTECOST when the faithful from other countries were in Jerusalem..they received the HOLY SPIRIT and
when they went back home to their gentile countries the HOLY SPIRIT went with them…the time given to the gentiles to repent was 40 days…40 x 50 ( jubilee years ) is 2,000 years ..Got Torah Got Truth
Jehovah
THE NAME JONAH MEANS DOVE. A DOVE IS THE SYMBOL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE SEA REPRESENTS GENTILES. JONAH GOING INTO THE SEA IS THE HOLY SPIRIT GOING TO THE GENTILES
That's a classic move of making the Bible say something it doesn't. You can't possibly know that.
Did it just end... or is there a part 2 pfff that was existing!!
Did God save Nineveh only to be destroyed later in Nahum?
These cut off way too soon. Thank you for posting though.
Yes. It was 40 years since. Hallelu Yah!
An interesting observation!

3:10 Yet another evidence that salvation after death is possible.
This video is really annoying for all the people interrupting it with their comments?! People are trying to focus on what is being taught without having to contend with interruptive comments as well?

Shame on him bro
A biblical day starts at dawn, not sunset. There are 7 annual Sabbaths in addition to the weekly Sabbath. A day before a Sabbath is a Preparation Day. Passover is a Preparation Day because the next day is the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Our Messiah died on Passover. It was a Wednesday that year. He was buried just before the day ended at dawn. He resurrected just before dawn the first day of the week. Just before Thursday to just before Sunday is 3 days and 3 nights.
The ships of tarshish
Where are they.
Surely Jesus was in the tomb for 3 days & 2 nights, not 3 days & 3 nights, or do I have it wrong?
Read the bible

The people of Nineveh worshiped Dagon; the Fish god represented as a Man emerging from a Fish, what do you think the people of Nineveh thought when they saw a man, Jonah, emerging from a fish on the beach?.
Jonah didn't want the gentiles to be saved
This a repost?
Authorized King James Bible please.😊

There was also a solar eclipse at that time.
first gentile convert was the ethiophian eunuch, not cornelius
Why do you have to shout throughout all your videos? I really would like to hear more of what you have to say, but I can no longer bear to listen to the shouting. Sorry.
I'm not a fan of shouting either. But I think it's because he usually speaks to individual Muslims and they're quite overbearing and shout people down. So, he used to having to shout to get a word in. Cultural :-)
My husband speaks loudly due to a hearing issue
@@sarahbarr5149Thank you. I am accustomed to people around me who have hearing loss, myself included, and family members, it can make life difficult at times, and he has my sympathy. However, because I am accustomed to it around me, I can tell the difference between a loud voice due to impaired hearing, and shouting. This content maker shouts. It makes it very difficult to listen to his videos. I'm not saying that to be unkind, but it is the reason why I cannot watch them anymore, I cannot bear the shouting. If it was just loud, I could turn down the volume, but it's the shouting that is unbearable.
Just think, that's his inside voice lol But I still relish his insight.
Just like Jesus was in body of Pisces 3days
Sam, Jonah drowned and died for 3 days and 3 nights. Jesus said he was the ONLY sign. So how can you say Jonah didn’t die if Jesus died?
Listen carefully. Jonah did die.
@@ChristOverAll-1 I said he died in my comment. Sam said he didn’t die.
2:47 he does say he died…
Christ over all. If you knew the Bible, you would know that
Matt 12: 40 is an out of context scripture,
People take the ONE out of context scripture and reject the NINETEEN scriptures that say Jesus rose on the 3rd day, you cannot get three days and three nights out of the 3rd day.

Jesus was not in the Earth for 3 Nights and 3 days literally. Kindly explain because You are Comparing with Jonah Incident.
@@brendaalexander734 which three nights did he spend in the ground?
@@jeremiahchapman9288 where does it say he would be in the ground for 3 days
Sam 3 days 3 night but Jesus Friday to Sunday so who is he? for to the testimony and the law this testimony is not correct

That's all you can do Shamounian, bad mouth, scream and shout to others even your brothers in Christ.
