Thanks Mark. You have to be very careful in those Yogi classes. You know what they say.... Smarter than the Av-er-ij bear! But I think Boo-Boo was the ring leader here, he got the Pie from right under Yogi's nose. lol 🏞🛤🏞
Hello Tom, finally my system is working. thanks for help. I doscovered interesting thing : you cannot run JMRI on raspberry pi W ZERO because with last version of Raspbian there is some problem with JAVA routine. So JMRI cannot start .. hope that somenone will find some solution .. now i finally use raspberry pi 4 and JMRI works perfectly. Next step is to change arduino shield r3 with pololu shield
Well done again Tom ,great presentation, are you going into Jmri from scratch ,i found everyone has a different approach to JMRI ,depending whether they want to go all the way to Operations ,which is my goal ,but there are very little introductions from scratch about building Jmri From Starting to build your layout and panel, to operations most miss out on a good presentation of layout Editor, hoping you are going this direction.Best Regards John
Thanks John. Wasn't planning on it since I concentrate on the electrical/electronic part. Since there is no one doing it, it seems to be a good opportunity to do some videos on the subject.
@@TomsTrainsandThings I love Jmri ,it opens up a lot of doors that just a normal dcc++ offers ,beyond just controlling trains, but have found using the Arduino ,you can make track sensors ,signal light controllers ,point controllers , for couple of dollars compared to commercial controllers ,i am working on turntable and multi level-elevator train storage ,using the arduino nano a stepper motor and motor driver card costs $15 so far just coding to finish. i will be updateing my youtube once i make a good start on my layout.
I think I did the Rasbian stretch yesterday in yoga class. Pulled my groin! Nothing a fresh raspberry pie can’t fix. Great video Tom. -Mark

You can do a lot with Arduino on your layout at an affordable price. The sky's the limit.
Do you have to keep the SD card in the Raspberry Pi once you download the software?
Yes, the SD card acts as the hard drive on the Pi.
hello good morning will have some page for sale of trains scale ho
