Cute. River is a real doll.
It can help to hold your rooster down on the ground for 30 seconds to show him that he is not in charge. Sometimes it takes a few times before they get it through their little chicken brains. If they get too aggressive you may have to trim their spurs so they don't hurt anyone. If that fails, there is always the stew pot. Thanks for the walk in the woods.

Here in northern Kentucky yesterday we had tornado warnings, thunderstorms and lots of rain. Today the cold front landed and it's in the 40's and more windy than yesterday when tornadoes were near. I love watching the goats running when you let them out, and the babies hopping around, always makes me happy 😂. God bless you and your family 💓
River and Ryland look so much alike! He’s so adorable! Are grandchildren great! I don’t know what I would do without mine! Mine are my sunshine! I had to find the one thing that helped me through the grief of losing my husband. We lost him to brain cancer. Of course being around all family helps.

Those ducks might have blown away in one of your recent wind storms. Ima survivor sanctuary lost their friendly muscovy Pablo several months ago. He blew in one day and stayed about 2-3 years and then blew out in a wind storm which really sucks because he was really really friendly. If you find one and it's on eggs. Take a chick and raise it inside with rhyrhy and make sure she pets it and handles it everyday. (You'll be the only youtuber with a pet muscovy, that LIKES CUDDLES now that Pablo is missing).

Tonya, I don't do cold either. Can't wait for the heat of summer to arrive! I believe some of it has to do with my autoimmune issues. My body just doesn't regulate my core temp very well. 🤔💖😉

Myke is that a spring>? My grandma that raised me near Cherokee had a spring similar to that, I got the worse spanking by playing in that spring. especially when the minister came by and it was muddy/ BUT that was the cleanest best tasting water around. And every one drank from the same dipper which hung on the pail. Loved them days
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. We don't all have to agree with each other. I wish more people would figure that out so we could all be friends. Just like your ducks, we are all different but beautiful.

Way to reuse, renew, and recycle for your garden beds.
In cattle, bag size does NOT forecast milk production. We liked average sized udder/bag with well-placed teats that were hanging nearly straight down. WATER and feed consumption that is at least a little more than enough. Production was typically well predicted by looking to the mother (dam) and father (sire) and their dams' production. When high milk production is pushed, other traits are compromised-frequently fertility. Best producing cows were usually well-fleshed, not too thin or too chubby.
I would SUSPECT goat production to follow a similar pattern...
