TO: Mr. Wally Uihlein,
Dear Mr. Uihlein:
It was a pleasure to meet you at the PGA show and participate in your benevolent act to Moe Norman. I have two personal goals in the golf business. The first is to build Natural Golf and the second is to provide Moe Norman with financial security. Natural Golf, Titleist and you have made goal number two a reality far sooner than I had anticipated. I agree and support your philosophy of making the video a master piece for future generations.
I will be available when you need assistance in the video. I will forward a schedule within two weeks where we will have clinics with Moe Norman. A tentative schedule is as follows:
Florida - Last week of February and the first 10 days of March.
Phoenix, Arizona - Mid March.
Southern California - Late March
Atlanta, Georgia - End of March
Virginia - Mid April
Ohio - Late April
I am instructing all of my employees to make the following statement before each Moe Norman Clinic.
"Wally Uihlein, the Chairman of Titleist, and Titleist recognized Moe Norman's contribution to the game of golf and are underwriting a world class production symbolizing Moe's life as one of the world's greatest ball-strikers. Mr. Uihlein believes that Moe Norman's ball-striking ability belongs in the category of Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, and Byron Nelson. He wants to make sure that what doesn't happen, 30 years from now, is that Moe is forgotten when people talk about the best ball-strikers. This act is unheard of in this day and age of commercialism. Mr. Uihlein and Titleist are to be congratulated in having the vision to recognize greatness and the need to preserve it for future generations".
Moe will be allowed to wear a Titleist hat and Foot-Joy shoes and promote them as his personal preference at the clinics.

Very touching story, Dr. Kuykendall. Thanks for sharing during the Christmas holiday.
It was expremely emotional. All of us who were there were tearing up!
Of all the golfers that ever lived and made millions from the game - Moe should have been one of them.
Moe was too generous. When he went to Florida in the winter, other Canadian pros would ask Moe for money. He would through cash on the ground and say take what you need. There were around 20 of them. Gus Maue, Moe's best friend" would not give the list of names. They told Gus, Moe doesn't need money and NONE of them ever paid Moe back the money he loaned them.
I've heard and read that story from you, Jack, on many occasions. It nearly brings me to tears every time. It was magnanimous of them to do that for Moe. What a gracious thing. Imagine for Moe... struggled all his life. FINALLY, he could live without concerns for money. God bless you Jack... for looking after Moe.
It was one of the joys of my life!
Well done Jack and well done Titleist
I only ever buy Titleist Foot joy and scotty cameron for this reason. I feel I'm doing my little bit to pay Titleist back for what they did for Moe. Plus Titleist is the best golf equipment on the market, as Moe knew all those years ago.
