What a magnificent video, beautiful scenery, expertly photographed and your choice of peaceful music knocks me out. (My husband is a concert pianist.). Please keep these gorgeous videos coming. You should have about a million viewers IMO. Thanks, Jack!

Haha thank you Paulie! I really appreciate that and I’m glad you like the videos but I like a smaller community anyways :) I can engage with you all more and it feels more special this way

A kilometer is about 0.6 miles.
Studio Ghibli's founder did find much of his inspiration for many of his works in places like that. The music you've chosen is spot on. I half expected Totoro to come waddling down the trail.
    Lovely video!

If Totoro came out of the woods my life would have been complete

Very unique and beautiful Jack. How has your interactions been with the locals? God bless you on your journey my friend. BTW, I just noticed that you lost the “homeless guy beard” from the PCT! 😂

I enjoy watching your hike in Japan, my mother country, showing such a beautiful country side. You mentioned that you were going to the coast. Are you still on Nakasendo? I thought Nakasendo is not near coast. What prefecture were you traveling in this video? Also, you mentioned that you saw a house in such a remote area with no power, drying clothes on a cloth line. I thought Japan is 100% electrified. Hanging clothes to dry is Japanese culture. You will see the same in Tokyo, too.😊

Yeah I think I was mistaken there! They had power I believe 😃 I did the Nakasendō, ohechi and iseji routes!

Invisible witches, ya I hope it’s a rumor too. Either way, not sticking around to find out.
