Archbishop of York vists the Waterways Chaplaincy

  • The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, made a missionary visit to the Diocese of Chester from 21-23 June to share in and encourage the mission of the church, to show the love of God and to make him known to the 1.5 million people of our diocese.
    On the second day, Stephen and Mark, Bishop of Chester, are at the Chester Canal, in Nantwich with Howie Pickering and Jim Ellis from the Waterways chaplaincy. Pastoral care and mission in these communities is integral to the work of Waterways Chaplains.
