Yep & it's not suppose to be that way at all. Our system is completely broken. We have p3dos who get 6month, slap on the wrist sentences & petty thieves/drug addicts get 10yrs!? 🤦♀️
That was the worst speech ever, like im wure the one gypshit would have gave if she didnt have a chance to get out. She literally blamed everyone but herself
You made so many good points. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect word, and it can be a very ugly place sometimes. I like to think that the legal system has good intentions but there are so many interests at play that it just gets overwhelmed.. so I really don’t know how to answer that question, although I do know there are ways the system can be improved. I can’t say how because I’m only one person and it’s an issue we as a society must grapple with. Although, nothing can ever be perfect in our world and that’s just a really unfortunate aspect of the human condition :/ at the end of the day the concept of justice is subjective, and that characteristic will always make it something difficult to achieve while simultaneously appeasing everyone. The world isn’t black and white, as my grandma would say. Hopefully we can eventually figure something out to correct these fatal flaws in our legal system.
It just can be so infuriating to think about at times! I think when it comes to heinous offenses, the best thing is education and educating children so they can grow up in a world to know how to protect themselves until look out for certain signs.
Sarah Boonesfarm was offered a plea deal of 15 years. She turned it down. Twice.( If she had accepted with time served she could have been free in 6 years.) The state wasn't being lenient. They had Jorge's family in mind. So they didn't have to suffer through a painful trial. Sarah would never admit she was guilty. The honorable Judge Kraynick got it right!
I think so too! I’m saying how can they (same couple states) seem to get it right rarely then show several others they don’t at all because they let them free completely or over sentence. Plea deal to murderers is a joke.
Sarah is just as evil as Casey. I think the Casey Anthony debacle was a perfect storm of a bad judge, an over-confident defense team, a jury that wanted to go home, and a defense attorney dying for his name in lights. I can’t help but wonder, what does CA dream of? ❤❤
State sentencing gives the judge great deference, unlike federal sentencing which has guidelines. The only threshold is whether it will withstand appeal. The book was thrown at her because the judge was so fed up with her (he could have given her 22 years, but she spent her last words blaming the victim and his family. Aggravating factors also come into play. There is a course in law school, each state is different, which addresses remedies and sentencing. There are elements, but unless you actually go to law school or train extensively, it is deliberately convoluted. There is what I knew before law school and 17 years later of experience. I am not on board with your analysis, legally, but understand where you are coming from.
I’m not a legal expert whatsoever I’m just stating that’s why I want others opinions on how some cases are so botched and others not..some over sentenced (not Sarah Boone she deserves life IMO) but what does everyone else think about it? Just looking at homicide statistics is alarming so many are never caught nor prosecuted.
I hope you understand it’s not an official analysis I really want others opinions here because your whole comment is educational and that’s great that’s why I asked others. Just thoughts on sentencing.🙏🏻❤️
@@StraightOutOfContextWithBarbie The ABA acknowledges this disparity in how the law is applied, by state. For instance, I will never live down south again, and have no desire to even visit, god forbid something happen and I get stuck....lol!
@@StraightOutOfContextWithBarbie Dude! I went to law school in MI and got the hell out of there too, when I graduated....thought it was country as hell, until I got to Columbus, OH, HA!
I followed the Sarah Boone case covered by Toddie1Skip . I really don’t understand the USA justice system?! Oh my God Casey Anthony got away with murder 💯!! LOVE UR HAIR BARBARA 😍🔥 edit Sarah was offered a pretty sweet deal but she refused it !
It’s a wig (I effing hate them but they’re kinda cool at times!) I followed it some but it’s just overall how can they get this sentence life in PRISION yet let others out right away or after 8 years or not even find them guilty when over 51% of all USA homicides go un-prosecuted in the USA. And looking at other statistics around murder I think it’s actually 80% or higher really are I caught or go to court. So for arguments sake, if there’s almost 400,000 unsolved murders in the last 50 years in the United States… how many murderers do you think there are walking around free? Lol of 330 million that’s a lot
So you think the sentencing is fair than for her? I do. I just think it’s crazy how they can get one right and then other so wrong and some cases all wrong.
@@StraightOutOfContextWithBarbie I do agree with you 💯. I was so shocked that Casey Anthony got away with murder when I think about it to this day it makes me sick to my stomach and now she’s dating some married guy who left his wife out of the blue for her. She moved in as his wife was forced to move out of the house. I believe they have four kids together the jerk who’s sleeping with Casey now 🙄🙄😒
Love your hair!
It’s a wig but thank you🤐 🤫
they got it right with Sarah
I think so too!
You get the justice you can afford.
That’s sad but so true.
