I just got my 929 to start reliably everytime after a year of messing with it and looked up a restoration video for one and I found your first video on restoring a 929. Im looking forward to the series cause I'm going to be building mine right along with you 💪
Nice! I took my other 929 out last week when it was too cold and slid out. 😬 So I had to borrow some parts from the blue bike. That will be in my next video. Thank you!
@@nocturnalcadence1676 As long as you're alright. The point is to restore it anyway so it's just a few extra parts to add to the list lol. Unfortunate as it is.
The hole in the stop switch is for a pin linked to a bracelet on the riders wrist. It is required in road racing in case the rider is thrown off it will immediately kill the bike. The black outs and kill switch and a few other clues would say it has been road raced, road racing is hard on a bike. Would also explain the multiple lay downs and quick fixes.
My neighbors got one. For 700.00 dollars. No battery, needs tires ,brakes fluids changed. That's what I know up front. Wonder how much it will cost to get her going.
No one makes them! The OEM brake hoses aren't sold anymore, so we will have to buy steel braided aftermarket hoses. You can try looking on eBay for used sets, but that's a bit of a risk. I'll need to decide what I'm going to do about them one day soon. I'll probably go steel braided
The sound it makes could be the servomotor of the htev system. The plastic gears inside might be worn. Nice channel bro, will be following you. I own a 954. Look on my channel 👍
Aha, ok I suspected something was stripped. I see they make a servo buddy to eliminate it, I may go that route. I appreciate it, I'll check out your channel, thanks!
I watch so many car and bike restarition programs this is going to be intresting to view Andrew 😉
Glad to see you uploaded this after your comment on the other video. Looking forward to these 20 minutes

Great video! I got a 2001 929 that was in storage for YEARS and is in bad shape. I can't find OEM brake cables. Where do you order your cables from?
