    You join an existing team as its new Scrum Master. At your first Sprint Planning meeting, you’re pleased to observe that the Developers and Product Owner come to agreement on a Sprint Backlog without any input from you. They then tell you to decide which developers should work on each backlog item, and to set up the backlog and the assignments in JIRA, so that responsibilities are clear and the team members can easily monitor their own progress. They also tell you that it’s your responsibility to reserve rooms and order lunch for the team on Sprint Planning and Sprint Review days, to take notes at the meetings, to generate burndown and velocity charts, and to serve as the team representative at all meetings with other parts of the company.
    When you ask why they are expecting you to handle all these tasks, they tell you that their prior Scrum Master used to do them. They said it’s the job of the Scrum Master to be a Servant Leader who leads the team and handles all the overhead tasks, so that the Developers can focus on creating quality code at the maximum sustainable pace.
    What conversation do you have with the team?

    Saket Bansal is a perfect example of simplifying complex situational questionnaire to logical, streamlined and conversational answering. I have been following these for sometime now and am wondering how do I get a slot to have a similar session with Saket. Any leads?

    Hi Saket, I saw your videos and very impressive.
    I have one question,
    What is the current market like from Sep 2021 to Dec 2021 , can we get SCrum master job/ interview? As its year end most of our friends saying market would be dry(no jobs). But in SM positions what would be the chances.

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  2 роки тому +1

      No specific data on last two months, we do see lots of jobs posted on internet but not sure when they make the decisions.

    could u please explain ground rules and what type of transparency we can process?

    • @dronejudge

      Transparency could be created when you as a Scrum Master bring a culture of openness, focus, respect, commitment and courage (5 pillars). Start by following them yourself first.

    One interview question I recently faced is - As SM, how will you ensure the code quality is maintained in the product? Any metric(s) for that?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  3 роки тому +3

      My opinion is, as a SM you are the mirror , so you ensure the code quality by showing them how to measure and track code quality, based on technology you use you can find metrics helping you in doing same. Some of the area you might want to explore is
      -Extensibility
      -Maintainability
      -Clarity
      -Testing Coverage of your code

    Your stakeholders have received Scrum training, however while working they sometimes overlook scrum processes. Instead of giving work in smaller chunks, they give it in a functional document with a long list of work. How will you handle this situation?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  2 роки тому +1

      We need to understand what makes them do this, since working on large requirements must be hard for them as well. If the requirements are well known and looks fixed than they may feel giving large requirements and expects team to develop incrementally.

    • @dronejudge
      @dronejudge Рік тому

      Requirements need to be broken down into small stories by PO so dev can pick them up & work to provide a working software, at the end of sprint
