While not discussed in the video, there's opportunities for new food and drink offerings, as well as exclusive merch, perhaps like the Shrek balloon seen in the art!
Yeah, except in the first movie it was established that she takes true loves form after receiving a true loves kiss. This is why she remained an ogre, both during night AND day. So after 3 additional sequels, and a fourth one on the way, along with the various TV specials and shorts, it wouldn’t make much sense to have her in her human form.

I am starting to like the interactive land element that is being rumored for all the new areas. It makes the park feel more alive and encourages exploration of the land. It works fantastic for Wizarding World and Nintendo. It also makes the parks a lot of money so i think this is something the will hopefully continue to add into all the new/remodeled lands

First visited the kids zone back in 2002, with young family. Great memories from Peek a boo, Barney and friends, Fievel land and Curiosity George foam ball shooting arena. Alas, time has come for change. Hopefully the kids and adults will have just as much fun with the new technology and characters. Thanks for the update.
I'm not saying The Kidzone Curse is broken... But it appears the Kidzone Curse is broken???... Either way. Great video full of info! Thank you for continuing to update us on these parks! Means a lot :D
Universal is being very smart adding more kid friendly areas to USF. This makes Islands seem like the teenage park and USF the family one. I just hope they do more than just retheme everything. They really need one good attraction in the land to anchor the entire area. Reception to the new minions ride seems ok at best, so something in the scale of the Pets ride in Hollywood would really bring universal up!
Given how soon Universal plans on opening the land, there probably won’t be many attractions or substance to it, at least not on opening day. I hope that the land includes some Dark rides, or has them added in the future (I’m considering a trip for 2025 but it’s mainly for Epic Universe)
We were just discussing a family trip to Universal next year, but I was worried about the lack of activities for my two toddlers at USF…Wow! A Dreamworks land with a 2024 opening!? 😱 Looks like our travel plans are now cemented! 🎉❤
Epcot has plenty going on, but you are right about the rest of their parks. Competition is good, hopefully Disney responds big this year with big plans for 2025.
With HTTYD already spoken for with its own land at Epic Universe, I'd argue the next best IP contender for a darkride would be Puss in Boots. I would love a slow indoor boat ride retelling the two films with animatronics like SLOP in USH.
I love what Universal is doing with this refurbishment! Plenty of land to execute something special. On top of that, I’m beyond grateful they won’t be replacing E.T.
I think they could add a Madagascar stage show in the old Barney theater since that's the only property in the show that doesn't have rude speculations.
I thought it would be cool to re theme the entrance to Dreamworks, ET, Animal Actors and SpongeBob as some king of forest. The trees could be generic at the front but become more pines around ET (extending his themed queue outdoors), more bamboo by Kung Fu Panda, seaweed by SpongeBob, etc. Just thought it would look neat and feel like exploring.
Interesting they left out Madasgascar, considering the pre-show in Dreamworks Theatre at Universal Hollywood features Masagascar alongside Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, and Trolls
I wonder why Universal is still keeping SpongeBob Storepants even after the Dreamworks area, since there are plans to build more Nickelodeon attractions in the parks anytime soon.
They probably have future plan/retheme for the area where spongebob store is as behind it there are back off house stores/offices that won't be needed once facilities at epic are ready. No point changing spongebob store now when in 18 months they will be able to knock down buildings behind it for extra space for new attraction/s SpongeBob store will get retheme then.
I'm so happy that every Dreamworks characters we know and love, especially Kung fu Panda, How to train your Dragon, Shrek, and a whole lot more will have their own theme park at Universal Studios Florida. Hope more news will come soon and hopefully there'll be character meet and greets. Can't wait
I have a feeling that once the land opens up, the days are numbered for Animal Actors and the Spongebob store. Spongebob will probably turn into a DreamWorks store and hopefully they just demolish Animal Actors and put some sort of dark ride in that general area.
I want to know whats going on with that year round HHN thing in Vegas! I'm far more likely to get a chance to go there than the seasonal Orlando version.
They're still prepping the land, but I will have a news and rumor update on it this fall. For now it will just be mentioned alongside the next update for the Texas project, which currently has more rumors!
I like how the new land is officially further back in the corner so ET and Animal actors isn’t in the new land (because those attractions were included in kid zone)
I wonder if they will make a new land for those. Same for the Rockit coaster, I wonder where will it be included now that Minionland has taken over Production Central
I know there's going to be a roller coaster based on trolls but are there also going to be other rides in this new area and also I hope it's true though about an epic universe preview center how cool would that be?!😊🤯😲
