I loved New Orleans ❤️ i went there with a friend of mine who sadly is no longer here, i have great memories of Cafe Du Monde... we had the pastries sitting in the sun having a lovely drink and had so much fun at the Mardi Gras... i had a full suitcase of beads that i brought home to Denmark and i shared them all out at our Pride in Copenhagen ❤️ I miss you Johnny 😢

My life experience has taught me that often the best food comes from those little hole-in-the-wall or mom-and-pop places in the middle of nowhere. So, those beautiful massive trees that you’re admiring with the Spanish moss are Live Oak’s. My husband and I live in South Carolina and they’re all over. The Angel Oak which is reportedly the oldest in the country is just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. If you noticed any ferns dead/alive on the branches they are called resurrection fern. It looks like they’re dead but when it rains it comes back to a beautiful green fern coating on the branches. One of my favorite parts of the tree.
Cafe du Monde was nice. We sat under a covered area. Our dog sat on the outside. He wasn't allowed in. People greeted him, and he got a sample of a beignet or two. I can't remember exactly. It was just over 10 years ago.

Festivals are wonderful in NOLA, I once woke up with 40 lbs of beads hanging on the headboard. Seriously it was the most startled and delighted moment in 55 years on earth. T &T I must say though there is nothing like "Quarter Time" that's when its so early, and with no festivals that you have the streets of The French Quarter to yourself and a few other creatures. Just you and a camera and a few hours to meander. Go Back and enjoy my favorite city. Safe travels, Jim/Scottsdale

I've loved NOLA from my first visit at 12 years old (won't talk about how long ago that was!) and it was amazing to see it through your eyes fresh again. I absolutely loved Tyler taking that first bite of a beignet, I totally was telling the screen don't breathe and try to eat one! I laughed through most of the video while being jealous I wasn't there too. Totally loving your travels!!

We went on an airboat in Orlando and it was so much fun. We saw lots of baby gators (& huge ones) and I was amazed to see cows walking around in the same water. Vegan food can be so amazing. I think Todd had TOO much fun at mardi gras :-).

I can't believe you guys were in my hometown! I live really close to the park you stayed in. Seeing how happy Todd was at Mardi Gras made me smile. Airboats are fun but I like to just paddle my canoe around the swamps, so glad you got to see so many gators. Ya'll come back now ya hear!

We went on an airboat in Orlando and it was so much fun. We saw lots of baby gators (& huge ones) and I was amazed to see cows walking around in the same water. Vegan food can be so amazing. I think Todd had TOO much fun at mardi gras :-).
