Reports coming out of South Korea indicate that North Korean troops could be deploying to Russia. These reports are unconfirmed, but the South Koreans aren't usually in the business of lying. So, what does this mean for the Ukraine War?

For a nation that hasn't been in a fight in 71 years, North Korean generals have more decorations than a Christmas tree. We don't know if they can fight, but they sure are colorful.
One would think that it started to look a bit silly when they due to lack of space place medals om their pants. Oh well, at least they get some minor armour effect out of them. 😅
Brass body armor, because they can't afford kevlar
And those hats are the bomb.
That's why they're coming, for the experience. The Poles, French, Americans and Canadians have been there as well so let the party begin
They have probably had as much stress inoculation as soldiers anywhere even without a war.

North Korea sent more artillery shells to Russia than the whole NATO to Ukraine. So who has better friends?
Well this news is nonsense, ukrianian tabloid media just say stuff like this. I remember they said cubans were kidnapped and sent to the front. They based it on cuban volunteers. There were like 3 of them.
When you have to call USA, you know you're really screwed
While I agree with your conclusion, comparing the two isn't really fair.
Iran is an actual country with real people living out their lives. Sure women's freedom is limited, but they have the right to vote and work, and several ministers have even been women. *While North Korea is a high security prison masquerading as a country.*
Just pointing out that if all you know about Iran is from American(not European) media, you might mistakenly believe they are similar.
Imagine, you're a North Korean soldier. You've barely figured out what a smartphone is, and your home town doesn't even have electricity. You arrive in a foreign country probably thinking your army is the superior fighting force only to have exploding bees fly down from the sky and rockets that explode into 1000 other bombs. You would very much not like to be there anymore. I can see how this may lead to tension.
Just pure cannon fodder. I wonder how many men will be slaved off from north Korea to help the Russians. It's disgusting, not like war isn't anyways.

*AUSTRALIAN HERE* - Please do not forget where South Korea gets all of the raw materials they need to make stuff. ALL of their iron ore, coking coal, alumina, nickel, copper comes form other places and the place they get most of it from is Australia.
*HOWEVER* almost all of the raw materials Australia exports to South Korea (and Japan) especially iron ore comes out of Australia's WEST and it goes via the South China Sea. A few things like coking coal and food comes out of Australia's East Coast. So if the Chinese get "upitty" and block access to the South China Sea via their bases in the Spratly's then all that stuff has to get to South Kore via another route and that can get complex because some of the routes that might seem possible by looking at google maps are not viable because the water is too shallow and there's reefs and ships with 80,000tons of iron ores are not that manoeuvrable.
And the west would immediately close China oil from middle east. China would lose much and gain nothing

Fidel Castro did the exact same thing with Cuban soldiers: He paid for the Soviets' propping up his economy by providing them with cannon fodder in Angola and Ethiopia. About 10,000 dead in Angola, 400 dead in Ethiopia in 1978. (The "Ogaden War" versus Somalia was a quick victory for the Soviet Bloc nations. The Angolan Civil War dragged on for years.)

@@paulstewart4195 So we've been getting told for a couple of years now.
As a Cuban who has several relatives that fought in both conflicts I can tell you that the Soviets were not too happy with Castro's adventure in Angola, they basically had to play along once they realize that Cuba had deployed hundreds of soldiers in Luanda and Cabinda in total secrecy (As secretly as one can move troops in an old Bristol Brittania fom Cuba to South West Africa with lay overs in Canarias and Cape Vert.)Castro became a real pain in the ass for Brezhnev who at the time was trying to patch things over with the Americans in view of the fact that the Americans were getting cozy with the Chinese . When it comes to the Ogaden war the Soviets were betting both sides (The Ethiopian Derg and the Somalis) and ultimately choose the Ethiopians given Castro's close relation with the Ethiopian leader Menghistu Haile Mariam. Cold war politics is a bitch. By the way, I'm not in any measure a Castro supporter but to potray Cuba's expedition in Africa as mere puppet act is a gross simplification to say the least. We were no cannon fodder to no one; that part was played by the UNITA, the SADF and the Somalis. Also where did you get that 10000 dead figure?
And they freed Angola and Namibia from the white colonialist

1. Hamburger creator
Kim Jong-un's father Kim Jong-il claimed he invented the hamburger, calling it "double bread with meat", with grand dreams that it would become a new national dish as he unsuccessfully introduced it to the nation's universities.
2. Speaking of food
The older Kim was also fond of claiming sawdust was full of nutrients, encouraging his citizens to chow down on the building byproduct in their regular times of famine.
3. Supernatural bodily functions
Kim's official biography stated he never needed to use a toilet because his body was so well calibrated he didn't urinate or defecate.
4. Magical Beginnings
According to his official biography, Kim Jong-il's birth atop a sacred mountain saw a new star created and winter turn to spring. However records kept by the country's Soviet allies show he was born in a Siberian village in 1941.
5. Fashion icon
Shortly before his death in 2011, Kim Jong-il's signature grey military styling was being celebrated by the world's top fashion designers, according to state media, who quoted an unnamed French designer saying "Kim Jong-il mode, which is now spreading expeditiously worldwide, is something unprecedented in the world's history".
6. Everyone loves us
Despite having one of the worst international reputations, North Koreans are told their leaders are beloved around the world and that each country celebrates their birthdays.
7. Time thieves
For decades North Koreans believed the Japanese stole time from them back during their 1919 occupation. Kim Jong-un finally righted this injustice and set North Korea's clocks back by half an hour on August 15, 2015.
8. Greatness of hereditary
Kim Jong-un is just as amazing as his father, according to North Korea state media which revealed he was a gifted sailor as a youth - who also learned to drive at the age of three. The younger Kim is also a celebrated musical composer and artist, who is celebrated around the world.
9. No such thing as the internet
The only people with access to the internet in North Korea are government officials and the state tells its citizens it's a notion invented by the west.
10. Fake village
Keen to encourage South Koreans to migrate, the North Korean government built Peace Village near the border in the 1950s. Propaganda says 200 families live happily and work in the village, but observers say it houses North Korean soldiers manning artillery stations pointed south.
North Korean dictator/superstar golfer Kim Jong-Il has died at 69 -- a fitting age, because 69 is under par on every regulation golf course.
Kim shot 38 under, including 11 holes-in-one, at the 7,700-yard championship course at Pyongyang in the VERY FIRST golf round of his life, according to North Korean state media.
Interestingly so Sudan functions as the main weapon smuggling route to Hamas from Iran, and on several past occasions Israel has bombed large weapons caravans in Sudan.

Zeihan’s analysis is geopolitically relevant and mostly accurate, especially regarding Russia’s dependency on unconventional allies like North Korea and Iran. However, the conclusions about the involvement of Israel and South Korea, while strategic possibilities, may overstate the immediacy and scale of their engagement in the Ukraine conflict. The analysis is thoughtful but could benefit from more nuanced consideration of the diplomatic consequences surrounding such escalations.

A few corrections:
1. An Israeli attack on Iran is a very complicated affair. I don't think it's possible to just "add a couple of targets". Similarly it's not "easy" try to assasinate people on Iranian soil.
2. The US administration has shown again and again that they don't attack enemies. They appease them. So assuming they will use the Israeli attack to hurt the Iranian Shahed production is not their MO.
3. The Jerusalem-Seol cooperation you envision already exists to some extent. It exists to a greater extent between Israel and India, and I think that most Israeli military production that’s not done in Israel or the USA will remain is India for political and cost effective reasons.

Russian is the 2nd most spoken language in Israel. The vast majority of Jews in Israel come from the USSR. A lot of "Jews" are actually Russians and other Slavs who have married actual Jews and moved to Israel. Russia and Israel don`t really have any beef with one another. Countries trade with each other all the time. Russia can by whatever from whoever and same goes for Israel.
I don`t see why South Korea should have any issue with what Russia is doing either. If anything North Korea depleting it`s manpower and munition supplies is probably a good thing.
Iran and North Korean vs Israel and South Korean! wow!
@@Erik_Ice_Fangwhen was the last time they did anything impressive lol
The Russians will train them like they are training the Belarusian army. Doesn't mean they will be fighting in the Donbas. There's no reason to have them there.
'No money?... no intelligence info for you!'
Question: If Iran has figured out the limits of the Iron Dome (used to be said as around 70ish missile group sizes, now 200 plus).. doesn't that mean likely more trying to same on Ukraine's defenses with larger saved up missile groups? Also, that 200-300 group into Israel didn't hurt much, suggesting they didn't even hit their targets; Is bad accuracy normal for Iranian drones??
Does any of this impact my Amazon delivery?
Priorities 😂
5:17 he probably meant Israel good at asasination, not russians
I have notices it too, had to rewind. He meant Israelis.
True, but ruSSians don't shy away from it either.
@peterflohr7827 find me a country who doesn't. It's just the context means he misspoke for a second there. Further along his monolog it is clear he means Israelis.
We need your recent predictions on the Ukrainian war ?
It feels like the Patreon thing isnt going as well as he thought it would

It is so sad that we spend our time, thought and treasure for war. What a waste.
russian propagandaparrot
@@slueccroll4661 what the hell are you talking about. I see no propaganda.
@@Dmarkus_greene usefull idiot.
It's the fate of the fallen human race to practice war you either "pray for peace and prepare for war" or you get steam rolled (see Ukraine, Republic of Georgia, Chechnya, 1940's-50's Hungaria, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Poland and those are just from Russia and USSR you think those states voluntarily joined the Warsaw Pact?) salvation comes from Jesus Christ even for us that served and thought we were permanently stained with the blood of the innocent but even a wretched soul like mine can be redeemed.
it's sad but everything "good" is because someone won a war some time before. reality is not disney channel.
A "South Koreans are known for" list that omits Starcraft? Inconceivable!!!!
Peter Zeihan rocks.
I wish I had the discretionary funds to subscribe.
Hopefully some day.
Danke!
It’s definitely not true that North Koreans haven’t been in a war since ‘53. There was the DMZ conflict in the late 60’s with the US and RoK that was essentially a full scale war with North Korean infiltrators and firefights on the DMZ. Then there were artillery duels in the early 2010s between both koreas.
They were only regional skirmish
Raids from friendly territory are a lot easier to "win" than sustaining combat in hostile lands, which the South Koreans at least did in Vietnam.
