I didn’t figure out this but I saw on a twitter post or smt where someone pointed out that traditionally you get on one knee to propose but in the lyric she says “sometimes you just don’t know the answer till someone’s on their knees and asks you…” and she uses knees in plural form pointing out that he literally begged on both knees for her to marry him
6:51 this torn tapestry part always reminds me of Pixar’s Brave and how in great tradition, family tapestries take lots of time and love to put together and how repairing it can almost be impossible without starting from scratch or at least having it look different once repaired due to how intricate tapestry methods are.
3:31 Midas touch is a reference to King Midas who wished everything he touched would become gold-which once granted, learned quickly this “gift” is actually a “curse” since he turns his food gold, his child gold, etc. I took it as more of a symbolic representation of how everything in concept seems much sweeter than it actually is…you just don’t know until you do it, just like the attempted proposal turned to breakup instead of a lifelong happiness. But that’s just imo. ❤ Also I feel so dumb now for thinking she wrote this about her and Joe and that he proposed to her and she said no 😂😂😂…if they both wrote it, then it’s one of the fictional relationships with a tad bit of truth sprinkled in it. This whole time I thought this is why they broke up 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this explanation. Usually I understand a lyrics but I can´t put it on words you know? and putting in on words is the way for a better learning and yeah, thank you! I particularly love this song and the way of storytelling of Taylor (and Joe Alwyn in this case).
I don’t know if this is true, but I think it is cause I have watched Gilmore Girls and people have said that this song Is about Rory and Logan which in my opinion is true.
I think Champagne problems is others problems so you don't care too much about it ,and the same she's telling him that her mental issues is her own problems, the blame on her and her problems and issues, so don't care about them, they're not your fault.

ahhh I also saw someone talking about that! makes it so much more painful 😢😢
I think that this could be a clue that this isn't a proposal per se, maybe he was going to propose but she broke up with him before he got that chance
@@JuIyFireflyAnd "your mom's ring in your pocket" hints that she might've discovered the ring before he could propose

Why does taylor used 'Champagne promble ' as the title..... Like why is it champagne 🍾 promble??
I guess she was drunk and created a problem

Because you drink champagne at a wedding, which she realised she didn't want ..hence,no champagne to be drunk .
😭😭😭😭😭
Do you think this is about Selena & Justin?
But Justen never proposed to selena
@@sArAsara-rr2qmthere’s a rumour that he did
@@nicolebicera8556 And there's a rumour Selena even tried on her ring that HB wears now.
I had the same thoughts too.
This is about Taylor Lautner and him moving on with his wife. You can’t tell me any different lol.
She wrote it with Joe Alwyn tho
Sooo much more you didnt touch on
