Just wanted to give you an update on my daughter. Her tumors haven’t grown or spread at all! Which is about as good as it gets with her diagnosis. She’ll have her next MRI in May. Love your energy to get it all done! I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety since her diagnosis, and it’s hard for me to get motivated to get anything done. What a sweet person, mom, wife, and friend you are to so many!

I love watching you. My brother in his seventies, lives with me and I help him stay home instead of a long term care facility. He came in the living room and I was watching you. 😂 I had to drop what I was watching so he could see your tour! He loved it! Soooooo, you and Shane got kuddos from him for your great work!

Merina,just a suggestion= add the felt things on the bottom of the girls storage bins. It will keep from scratching paint over time. The felt things are made to put on furniture to keep from scratching floors but also great for other things.

I love to read too, but I work all the time but could very well listen on the library app. I had no idea there was such a thing. It’s just a thought. I love watching you! I need to read more and I love to read but I have got where the Lord gets on me because I should be reading the word. But maybe this year we will see. My mom always cleaned the church... brought back memories. I am still binge watching I missed a couple of month . Sorry but I was with my daughter. She came and got me and took me from fla to Arkansas. She made detective of the year while I was there. Very proud momma. Love yall

I have two friends as a stay at home mom, and they are my friends from high school. One doesn't even live in the same state as I do and the other lives an hour away and they don't have a kid or partner so they have lots of flexibility to adventure. I have felt very lonely the last ~5 years and I don't know how to put it but Merina (sry if I spelled it wrong!) you are someone who feels like a friend. Just a calm aura and genuine kindness and love is what you radiate and I get genuinely excited to watch any video you post. This will help me stay up tonight as my little kid had a really amazing cat nap (for her) and will definitely be up super late. 😂❤️

Hi, I admire how you and your husband take time in the organization of your home. You think things through to suit your family's needs, lovely room for your girls.
Found your channel through Shannon! I really enjoyed you walking us through the process in this room which turned out so cute! It’s tough to have 2 kiddos in one small room (we have that too but one boy and one girl). You ended up with so much storage! It’s more than I could handle in a space but we are all on different spectrums with what we can manage and I really like how you are teaching your kids to think critically about stuff- it takes time more for some kids than others. I was so proud that this last time I helped my oldest (13y boy) declutter when he moved rooms he actually got rid of so much, didn’t get overwhelmed or fight or upset and was proud of his work- so it does come but some are slower than others arriving there!!! He only took 13 y😂! We started trying to help him declutter for many years but until I got more serious about us living in the smaller space we were in and having room to actually live and function then he seemed to grasp it better and make good progress. We downsized in 2020 to get to a better space for our medically fragile child (who has tons of med supplies) so it’s been an ongoing battle with stuff since at least the past 10.5y (she’s 10.5). The room looks beautiful!!! Great work mama! Have you heard of Dana K White? It might be helpful during your projects to focus on a few non negotiable to keep it from getting too hard to catch up: 1- dishes 2- sweep floors 3- 5min pick up (everyone helps) and probably laundry would be helpful too- but it takes time and the less you keep the raiser it is to stay on top of stuff when you have projects- definitely true in my life!!! Blessings!!
I once read a statement that said "An environment that is not safe to disagree in is not an environment focused on growth - Its an environment focused on control." I love the fact that you can take other peoples opinions into consideration (within reason) without getting offended. I thought a couple of the same concerns as others with the sizing of the beds but I figured when the girls grow out of those beds you can always sell them. 🤷♀️ I do think you did a fabulous job on the makeover. You give others inspiration who also live in a mobile home, such as myself. Keep doing what your doing sister. 👏 👏 👏
I have watched several of your videos back to back. I have enjoyed every minute of it. I wish I had the motivation to keep my house tidy like yours. And love love love all your projects. The girls room looks amazing! That closet has a lot of potential. Y’all could definitely elevate the bar where you hang their clothes, add a shelf UNDERNEATH for the board games and boxes and still have room for their doll house. Some good lighting would probably entice them to keep the play in there too

Loving the diversity in the dolls. Also, I suggest that all toys have to be cleaned up before bed every night to help create healthy cleaning habits. Furthermore, I recommend them choosing toys to fill one small trashbag each twice a year to donate.

I totally agree with you on how you did the girls room. Used to live in the same size mobile home & those rooms are tiny. I think you did a great job on maiming space for the girls. Unless you've lived in a mobile home it's hard to understand the challenges. Including the walls!😄

Talking about budgeting your money yes, when I was first married 48 yrs ago. We would take $50 a week and put in savings. It grew so fast especially for back then. In the 70’s. I commend you for saving the way you do for different things. I love your videos. They are so much fun to watch! Thank you❤️

I think what you did was amazing to your girls room. The main reason I wanted to comment though was because they comment on your video like you didn't tell us plenty of times you don't do anything to there room without asking them and them giving you ideas. Your kids are clearly healthy, loved, and seem very happy & grateful. In my option (which might not mean much) the most important thing to me is that my kids are well taken care of, have a clean place to live and play. All the extra stuff is fun and great but that isn't always possible for some people and unfortunately some people do not understand that. I think your doing a great job keep up the great work!
I like how you explained how you figure budgets for each project. Super helpful. I keep telling myself I'm gonna do the brick in my living room!

When it comes to the foam for the beds, there's also matress pads, so long as they are more cotton than not, that will help keep things cooler.
The reason the foam gets hot is that there's no place for air flow.
Layers of cotton, whether fullfy bath towels, several layers of sheets (although these can bunch up), or cotton layered mattress pads are all good equivalents to cooling pads.
You've done a beautiful job with the space you have.
It inspires me to continuemoving toward getting my own 1984 Sterling mobile home renovated.

I’ve lived in a few trailers and they are nice I loved it . I’ve rented all my life because I have disabilities so right now I’m in a house but I try to keep it fixed up as good as I can and take care of what the Lord has allowed me to have . I just you to know that you are amazing person! For the past month my grandmother in law and I have been binge watching you. If you could give my grandmother in law a shout out I'd really appreciate it. She's had a rough past 2 months. Her husband of 67 years died last Christmas and then this Christmas eve she broke her knee and has been sick. She always finds joy in watching you and absolutely loves Shane and your babies! We both do honestly. She's always telling my husband that him and Shane should be friends. Please never change sweet lady! Also I feel as tho watching you is helping me become closer to Jesus. The room is beautiful!! I have heard some van life people say that an enclosed mattress space became an issue for moisture/mold. The question about heat made me think of the issue. Could be something to watch for, just in case 😊. You’re rockin it girl!

Dreft is amazing on stains even old ones!!!!!! I used that on my grandbabies clothes when he was a baby and would have a blow out!!! Dreft got the stains out almost every time!!!!!! I love Shane!!!!!❤He is so handsome and just an all around great guy!!!!!!!!!! He’s a really good dad to!!!!
Hi sweetie, I loved the room. The children are so blessed to have you and Shane. I know you already have sheets on the beds, but I would suggest a mattress pad to cover the foam, separating it from their body. Or maybe another fitted sheet that stays on there. Love to all!

That was very nice of you to clean nanny’s church. Doing things like that always feel so good. Volunteering is one of my husband and I’s favorite things to do together. I normally look for painting opportunities which I have become fairly good at over the years. We have done Habitat for Humanity a few times and one time they made the mistake of trying to have us mud and tape a bathroom and the lead project guy said thanks for trying but I think they need you outside for painting. 🤣

Merina, you're one of the most amazing women I have come across on this interwebs! I would adore being friends with you. I'm 47 yo and have ZERO. POINT friends. I was disabled when I was in law enforcement and my health is terrible. It 100% showed me who my true family was and my friends and sadly the majority of both and all of the others are non-existent now. I have followed your channel for a long, long time now. I just rarely comment bc I don't know I just feel like I have nothing of real value to add but I do love and adore you and your family. I have a double wide that desperately needs renovations but being seriously ill has kept me from being able to do so. Hugs girl!

I started watching you because I enjoy watching cleaning videos; it motivates me to get off my behind and be productive. I am not at all religious and personally have no use for it (not trying to be offensive, just being honest 🤷🏻♀️) but I find you to be a very nice, good person that loves her family, looks to better herself and her home, and does her best to be kind every day. There is not enough of that in the world. I don't judge anyone and gravitate to people that give off those kindness vibes! I lost my daughter in June and appreciate watching videos for distraction and to occupy my mind while I continue to grieve and hopefully, get on the path to healing sooner or later. Mattress protectors would probably nullify any worries re the foam & chemicals etc. You can buy cosy fleece ones or polyester & cotton mix ones. Their bed room looks amazing & so much bigger .

Great idea to declutter toys after Christmas. So you reduce what they don’t play with anymore and make room for their new things!
If u do ever want to put pictures or something on the wall using Command Strips really help. It doesn’t put a hole in the wall and they’re pretty sturdy👍🏽

Loft beds are great, too. My babies share a room with me, so they each have a loft bed bolted to the wall with their own play area underneath. We built and bolted their beds, but you can buy them pre-made.

Pro tip for having a lot of books but not a lot of space is to get a rotating bookcase. They can fit quite a lot and don’t take a lot of space, plus since it rotates it maximizes the storage for the space it takes up. Just a storage/space saving tip for anyone who reads this comment.
