Thanks Dan! I have an outdoor gig in a few days and I just found out I have to bring my own PA, and I was just in the process of deciding which mic to use (for my alto and vocal).
I've always run my own PA. I'm a bit of a control freak and like to have possession of the proverbial game ball. That being said, It's incredibly stressful. I once showed up for my gig to find that my three guitar cases had no guitars in them. My band will never let me live that one down.
Welcome to the club - what could we call it for those who forget their actual instrument?
@@DanForshaw I don't know, Vocalist??? 🤣
Brilliant stuff! Thanks Dan! Yeah the Shure SMs are brilliant workhorses. We’ve got a few in my church that look like they’ve been dropped on the hard floor a million times, but still sound great for the singers! It appears that a mic that sounds good for a wide range of singers will also work well for Soprano, Alto and Tenor saxes. What do you think?
