Tony bueno No. It is not touching. It shows he is easily distracted. His mind is not on the imminent Sacrifice of the altar. He is making Mass "all about me". He is hoping someone will comment, "Aw nice, how cute, how touching, must be a good guy". Guff.

Why? I don't get what's so wrong with it. I get that it really didn't suit the celebration when there was a full choir, organ and orchestra, but it's not like he was playing in a rock band with drums or something, like in some churches I've seen. Plus, it's a pretty beautiful psalm, especially when the choir and everyone else started joining in the response.
