I'm not sure why some people hate this weapon, and I mean Soldier mains. This weapon isn't that bad, it's kind of like the Soldier's version of the Pomsom 6000, with unlimited ammo. That is really helpful for a guy like me who tends to hold the fire button when there's an enemy on my screen, so I don't have to worry about ammo conservation for the most part. However, this might not be a great way to teach new Soldier mains about being efficient with your ammo, so this is kind of like the beginner's version of the stock Rocket Launcher. You don't have to worry about ammo, you have a charged shot that always minicrits and deals afterburn, which isn't that good, but I can live with it. The charged shot however is great for making up the -80% damage to Engineer buildings, because the charged shot can temporarily disable them for 3 seconds, helping your team push in tight corners. Overall, I think this weapon deserves more love, and I can see why it's my favorite primary weapon for the Soldier.

@Vincent Trinh No it's in the patch notes that they fixed the slower reload in 2017 so it matches the stock rocket launcher. Now the only downsides are the building damage and the no crits. It's a bit too good when there is no kritz on your team and no engi on the enemy team. Then it just has no downsides, which is a bit dumb if you ask me.

Isn't this basically a straight upgrade? The only main issue is the less damage on buildings, which is still saved by the fact that a fully charged shot can disable them for a moment and let your shotgun or your teammates handle it. And, imo, a Sentry is the job of a Demo or Spy in the first place, so I don't really view it as a downside that much.

The charged shot will shut down the wrangler and it's 66% damage resistance.

Honestly, I think this is the best rocket launcher for MvM when paired with the buff banner and disciplinary action, you could hit large groups of robots with charged shot and upgrade the reload speed so you could spam the charged shot and fill up the rage meter, I call this strategy the ultimate team player! Also works for other game modes, but still best in MvM

Its not even close, the beggar's bazooka is the true best launcher, all it requires is a shift in playstyle.
-it has a faster firing speed, so fast that you can ignore firing speed upgrades altogether, saving you 800 credits to spend on anything else.
-since you have to reload it before firing, you can treat the ammo reserve as your entire clip, so no technical reloading required.
-speaking of no technical reloading, the "no dispenser leeching" downside becomes an upside when you can pop your banner while gaining ammo from the dispenser, and you don't waste any precious seconds reloading during your banner duration.
because of this launcher, soldier now has insane burst damage, alongside still fantastic crowd control.

just give it a 20% explosion damage resistance peircing stat and a 10% larger blast radius. i think it already does enough damage although the mercs it can oneshot either are able to dodge it with ease or have the ability to camp far outside of a reasonable range. it would be quite fair considering that something called the loose cannon exists and double donks even medium hp classes full hp. i dont see why this cant have a little bit more strength on the charged shot considering how vulnerable u are while charging and the long reload that you have to perform

I think why people don't like this weapon because it deal mini crit whenever it crits. But I mean, your charge can deal mini crit and afterburn, you have unlimited ammo and can make Engineer life hell. The less damage on building and no random crit is nothing compared to the upsides. So yeah, direct upgrade.
Edit: oh yeah, mini crit can one shot light class and I guess Vita-Saw Medic?

This weapon has infinite ammo (still needs to be recharged after 4 shots), and has an alt-fire that charges up a massive shot, using all remaining shots, then fires, setting anyone hit on fire, mini-crits, and disables buildings hit by it momentarily. However, it can't gain ANY crits, does almost no damage to buildings, and if it would crit, it mini-crits instead.
