The hero worship aspect is a thing for sure. But, this channel has done a great job of educating over the years and if anybody could help novice fighters learn from watching contemporary fighters it's Sayf Carman. Without jock riding that is.

When you explained that the underhook was the "jab" of wrestling, the difference between blocking / covering, tricking the nervous system to not run away, how boxing only has 8 techniques & the importance of the clinch all these simple small things revolutionized my game

I don’t see the point in Fighter breakdowns anyways if I’m not gonna fight the guy, I don’t really need a analysis of fighting style nor is trying to imitate another fighter gonna help me in anyway.
Agreed. Most only know about Ken. IMO Frank was the first truly Mixed Martial Artist in the purest sense of the words.. In UFC. However I've watched numerous interviews and he was very cerebral in his studies. I believe with 100% certainty that some of Bruce Lee's works would be in his library.

When you say prototype are we going as far back as pride? Because Bobby green on his first crack at the UFC was known as being the “philly shell guy”
By 'prototype" I mean the fighter who I think was complete and gave the formula for that.
