Cebu City July 12, 2024 | Is Cebu City on the verge of being overcrowded?

Many complaints of Cebu residents like floods, traffic, and low water supply could be attributed to overcrowding and I think the next set of leaders should make plans on infrastructure and other services for a population probably double than the current numbers. Our streets would be great for Cebu City in the 1990s but it's already 2024 and Cebu City's major streets are still the same. The Queen City of the South has become a skyscraper city with an ever increasing local population.
What should the next set leaders do?

This is the reason why investors have started to move to other cities like Cagayan De Oro, Bacolod, Davao, Iloilo, Clark even in Ormoc due to the lack of better infrastructures in Cebu City and Metro Cebu. Even Cebu Province which is the richest province did not improve the infrastructures of its road networks and etc.

and I guess that's better for everyone. I would even want Cebuanos to invest elsewhere because those provinces need it too.

Not overcrowded but poorly served with lack of infrastructure! Garbage everywhere!! Dirtiest province!

Lisod na mag road widening sa cebu City sir. maghimo og daghang kalsada. daghang kalsada gihimo lutsanan sa back SRP. daghan Cebuano wa kabalo ana. pero hinay lang ang lihok sa paghimo.

More nice roads will entice new establishments creating more traffic kay for sure daghan namalit diha dapit sa bag-ong karsada kay tukoran na sag mga establishments. :) but they have to make project and plans and think 10 years from now where our population in the city might double.
