      lol 'summerfags' refers to the surge of kids who just picked up a new game because its summer, it's derived from some thought that children play games more in the summer since there's more free time, but more games are sold since a lot of these kids get 'graduation' and 'summer' presents. so in the summer less experiences gamers get on and stay on longer than they usually do.

      And eat their hat over what? Cheats don't show up on screen recordings, and this guy is mechanical as fuck the whole time. If you look at real pros none of them have this kind of snapping to and staying on target that cheaters do.

    • @doltBmB
      @doltBmB 6 років тому

      Cheats hide their UI's from recordings. I think this was initially invented to circumvent PB screenshots but later became useful for streamers. It would only show up in a direct capture of the video output or a film of the screen.

    • @ntlrz

      the main point here is that everybody knows this (LAN-proven) player plays enough to have the aim he does, and everybody who knows about his tf2 experience knows that he can hit those shots. You're right about cheats not showing up on streaming platforms, but there are multiple kinds of aim, and plenty of professional players flick.

  • @SomeGuyWithAFace9
    @SomeGuyWithAFace9 6 років тому +11

    @everyone saying there is no such thing as a projectile aimbot:
    that is incorrect, although projectile aimbots cant be 100% accurate due to the fact that they are firing projectiles and projectiles have travel time but its still possible to write code that can predict the arc of someones movement and intercept them with a rocket
    albeit i have no idea how feasible this is in QC, whether or not one actually exists for this specific game, etc, but it can be a thing
    ALSO BEFORE ANYONE SAYS SOME SHIT: I know taggs not hacking hes played games for like 1000 ass years im not accusing him im just dispelling a dangerous rumor

    • @bipolarprobe
      @bipolarprobe 6 років тому

      SomeGuyWithAFace9 I mean. Saying it's possible and saying it exists are two very different things. An aimbot like that in quake would have to be able to account for player movement, target movement, target distance and how each subjects movement would change that and projectile speed and it still couldn't be perfect. If you know of some examples of projectile aimbots that work in a game like quake or tf2 I'd honestly love to see it because it seems like the effort that goes into creating something that complex would not be worth it at all. It also seems like it would be very easy to spot since it would take shots at times "predicting" movement that clearly isn't going to happen. Like if it's firing at a grounded target who is strafing back and forth it would shoot wide every time while a player would opt to shoot the middle of the strafe making it objectively worse than just aiming by hand.

    • @Rhino1004
      @Rhino1004 6 років тому

      There exists a TF2 projectile aimbot for rockets/pipes, which, although can never be completely perfect, still has the ability to airshot like a madman.
      It's possible that the demonstration video on YT doesn't have the opposing player airstrafing while getting airshot, but nevertheless, I suspect that most pubs (those that are most vulnerable to getting stomped by aimbots) probably wouldn't airstrafe when getting rocket juggled (due to motherfucking bewilderment)
      There also exists a Java-scripted tank in a game called Robocode that's ranked at #1 or something. It applies machine learning to learn its opponent's attacks and movements, and then it fires projectiles at them. After several rounds, not even randomized movement really beats its aim, much less simple patterns. (It can also throw off its own aim in order to avoid its bullets from being shot down by the other tank's bullets, while still hitting the right target.)
      Basically, what I'm saying by mentioning this stuff is that a projectile aimbot can and WILL wreck people. It just can't be one that's hot garbage.

    • @feedtheorist9944
      @feedtheorist9944 6 років тому

      MaxBox has a series called "Spot the Hacker". I remember seeing soldiers and demos with rockets and pipes that don't even fire where the player is aiming, and somehow are able to find their targets seemingly perfectly. No idea how they work, but they're fucking scary!
      EDIT: I realise I didn't make it clear, but I'm talking about TF2

    Streaming doesn't even prove you're not cheating anymore. Quake games are so challenging at first, I don't think many teens these days understand that an aimbot can't help you. You'd need to spend an inordinate amount of practice strafe jumping and knowing where to get the LG, turn on aimbot, use aimbot, switch off aimbot to be able to rocket jump, die, race back to LG, etc. etc.
    Amazing. Great video. Haven't laughed this hard in months!

      My point was that the guy complaining is an idiot for making a big deal over getting air rocketed when he went up a jump pad -- a very predictable pattern that even new players can sometimes land air rockets on. I hate when I have to spell out sarcasm, it ruins the joke.
      None of your comment relates to my point lol. Never said Quake is about air shots. Never said that he was landing the most difficult air rockets (though you obviously have not watched Tagg's videos if you think he can't hit some crazy fucking air rockets in intense battles). Never said Tagg was the best pro, though I do think he's a really great player. Never said that he played with anything but noobs. I merely made fun of the lame hackusations.

    And that's the beauty of games like Quake. The skill range is so unbelieveably huge that you'll occasinally encounter people who you could swear up and down are cheating, only they aren't. They are just so much better at the game than you that you don't even realize it's possible to be that good. And it's not even that the people who think you're hacking are really that bad, most of them are pretty decent as far as casual play goes, maybe even pretty good. It's just that when you're "pretty good" as far as casual play is concerned, you're still nowhere near reaching the higher end of the skill range and there are still MANY people who could absolutely decimate you without even breaking a sweat. It's pretty amazing when you think about it and the fact that the game can house this massive skill range shows just how good these games are. They may look simple from the perspective of an outsider or a beginner, after all you just go around an arena and shoot things until you win. But once you actually sink some time into them and start getting a glimpse of what it looks like when someone who's ACTUALLY good at the game plays, you realize just how marvellously complex and deep these games really are. It's truly astounding.
