Nice review of this new route from Hyrail, I like the personal history you included in this review. I live in the Orlando area and drive by the Baldwin Yard on my trips north. The Southeast region for Run8 in my favorite operating area and I also like Horseshoe Curve.
I wish I had some of my camcorders from when I was a kid, I'm a Tallahassee native and some of the trains I can remember had some awesome power. Early 2000s when my dad would take me out on Saturdays to watch trains.
Yo fellow T-towner! I grew up in Tally as well, lived northside most my life up near bradfordville. Had fam worked for AN before all the mills shut down and got sold. Lotta good RR history up there sadly fading away
Something from my neck of the woods. Baldwin is about 30 minutes Northeast of me. Been there countless times. Glad to see it finally hit the virtual world
It would be neat if Hyrail ever expands the Southeast region via the Lineville Sub because that would bring the Run8 to Birmingham, AL which means tons of future possibilities not only for CSX but also Norfolk Southern - not to mention BNSF's intermodal facility. Plus, I drive over the Lineville Sub every day on the way to work, but that's beside the point.
I have to ask, where did you get that CSX shoving platform? Running ATSF cabs as stand ins isn't cutting it. Also I was born in Jacksonville and lived in McClenny. So the entire A-line is something that I had to have. Also the station in McClenney is very very wrong. I used to sit on the platform back in the late 70s early 80s. Now regarding the Jointed Rail assets, Jason has added a ton. I do wish that he would go back to Waycross and add the paint shop and transfer table. That is a huge asset that Rice yard is missing. BTW, Jason knows my feelings concerning Rice Yard.
For those who are wondering or jot from the us here some fact about Jacksonville Jacksonville is the largest city by landmass since the city of Jacksonville and Duval County consolidated in 1968 making Jacksonville the largest city in the United States by landmass
Get run8 barely if any bugs in my 3 years of playing. Making trains is super user friendly you can run trains literally anywere you want where you want and place trains in an active session anywhere. trains feel weighty and sound great. The only reason I would fire up train sim classic is to run the SS AC4400 on the Canadian mountain pass.
I'm new to Run8 and train Sims for about 3 months now. Last week I bought Fitzgerald and Waycross. Went over to Hyrail sims website to do the cumulative 3 route update and now the A Line is showing up. All the assets are there and fully functional. No missing graphics. Running a coal train through it now. AI trains are running there, the yards have populated cars. Has anyone else had this happen. I'm not complaining. Just wondering if anyone else cane across this
@@schnauzahpowahz An easy way to remember it is F8 is the tag key, All the on screen tags are some combination of F8+LShift, F8+Lalt, F8+LCTRL, F8+RCTRL Bottom line: If you can remember F8, you can random mash on the modifiers to find what you want.

Normal route price is 40 bucks, so the smaller route for 20 isn't so bad.
I bought this route, installed all the updates and no track is displayed for the route. Other routes work but not this one.
There’s a Whitehouse industry config too
Awesome, i didnt catch that
For those of us on the fence about either Run 8 or Train Sim Classic, what are your thoughts? Is there a tipping point in favor of one over the other?
Classic has heart breaking bugs that will never be fixed. Picking a train sim is hard. I'm sturggling with it myself.

Which horn is in the beginning? I’ve been looking for one
I put the sounds too close I guess I’ll try and fix that
Is the 7585 horn at the beginning available?
The power station is Brandy Branch Power Station.

My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
