You could use "Screaming frog SEO spider" for checking for broken links or other issues, the free version can crawl 500 links and maybe there's a free alternative but by using different jump-in-points you can check pretty a lot.

Karl, what a great resource you have created. Congratulations on an amazing website, probably one of the best travel “how to” sites I have seen. Have recently watched both videos on Queensland, I live in Brisbane, and found them very entertaining. Makes me want to get moving again and revisit some of those destinations. Have been to and done a lot of what you cover but you make it look so appealing, so am now planning another visit to way up north. Congratulations again.....

you should expect it to cost between $20,000 to $30,000 per person to travel around the world for a year. This rough estimate comes from reading travel budgets of other bloggers, various travel planning resources, and our own experience. This is just the midrange.

Over the past 12 months, I managed to visit 19 countries: Australia, Cambodia, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
It’s far less than I had assumed, given that this was the first year I made very little attempt to travel on a budget.
This, therefore, is not a guide to how you can travel the world for the smallest amount of money possible - it’s about how travel is still affordable if you opt to stay in nice apartments, splurge on fancy hotels for special occasions, and don’t choose the most uncomfortable budget options available. It’s about how you can still spend less than many people would in a year at home, even on a mid-range budget.

yessss this is exactly the video i’ve been after! my first experience of travelling got cut short by covid earlier this year in africa :/ but am so eager to get travelling again and struggling to decide where to go based on my budget, so this is so useful :) also loved your switzerland video!! family have been going to lauterbrunnen for years now, have lots of the world left to explore but still think it will be up there with the most beautiful places i’ll ever visit.

We didn't because the 2nd lockdown happened in the UK banning international travel. There's a chance we'll go there for NYE, although won't be filming it as it'll just be a chill holiday.

a small suggestion: fixed colors for different categories on the pie chart :) on the vietnam page for example, your first budget lists accomodation as yellow, second and third as blue which makes alternative budgets a bit harder to compare! but thank you for this extensive work, will surely come in handy in the future! safe travels :)
The first budget pie chart and the second are the exact same values, just one doesn’t include flights and visas, so there’s nothing to compare between the 2. Glad it’s useful anyway 😊

Friend. I've watched all of your videos almost. Question!!! I've never heard you mention travel insurance. Do you use it at all ?? Curious as I will be planning some upcoming trips.
I always always always get travel insurance. For me it’s such an obvious thing to have it seems redundant mentioning it. Kinda like “bring a passport”. I think I’ve mentioned it sometimes but maybe I should talk about it more 🤷♂️
