I've been watching all of the videos they do on racing them trucks on UA-cam I say its loud as hell and fun as hell at the same time being there I've always wanted to go and watch them race like they are and never did
Great event no doubt....Just amazing the power those trucks have.. We were able to get some great pics and video from this event and I have rewatched several of those races and watching them smoke the tires taking off and also pulling the wheels off the ground through 3 gears just,unreal... Loved it,can’t wait to go back again..
i want to know what kind of clutch there running because no Eaton 2250 ftlbs. clutch is not going handle these engines torque numbers atleast 4,000 ftlbs at the crank
Id say prolly a 90. Show was still totally badass even without a lot of the Canadian big hitters. Still had over 75 trucks competing! I wasn't disappointed in the least.
For the normal doubles they have like 6 sets so they can run quite a few back to back. Alot of bobtail racing is mixed inbetween. When they swapped to the tripples for the 200,000lb semi-final and final it took a few minutes but really not bad. Mike Sturgil the owner of onaway has a great team and its very well organized.
Smoking the tyres on a loaded B Double is just mind blowing apart from lifting the front tyre for 5 gears .....WOW

They're not stock clutches that's for sure
Those are some badass trucks I cant believe smoking the tires with 200000 pounds unreal
I'm always amazed at how few trucks break.
What was the slogan "when it absolutely positively has to be there overnight"...
That is insane bro!
That is wild.. I live just an hr and 1/2 north of there in the u.p . I'll have to go check it out one of years. Lol
You won't be disappointed i promise! Its 13 1/2 hours each way for me..... still worth it!

I wish I could go! I have a Batchelor party to go to that weekend. And it's just upstate for me
How do they keep things moving with all the turning around, unhitching and hitching of trailers? It must be a long time between races?
