I was literally stuck dreaming about a rear extention we can't really afford. Thanks for the shift in thinking! I am wondering when you "get rid" of all internal walls thinking of new potential layouts, what do you do about the structural walls? My downstairs is semi open plan so most walls left are probably supporting walls...

Could you share with me your old kitchen and dining room dimensions please ? Yours looks great, just trying to figure out if mine would look anywhere near as good.
    Thanks

Thank you so much for this post. I have been thinking about this question for the past week and have tried about 5 different designs - still an extension but not as elaborate. But your point on switching the DR with the K....my mind is blown and I think that's the one! Back to floorplanner I go but I think this is a winner for my own reno xx

Thank you, what a great post full of practical ideas to help us move forward on our project. On visualising the space, used garden canes and string to mark out the rooms in the garden, with old towels/sheets to represent the kitchen units, tables etc on plan. Really helped us with tweaking the space to work for us. Loving your new videos.

Such a great tip, yes!! Even duck tape can be great to get an idea for a floor plan. Thank you so much for watching Rebecca! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
