Siyeon's vocals are no joke.
It's not only about going up high, the way Siyeon controls her voice with the vibrato at those insane heights is simply not human. The same is true for Dami. They are certified angels.

I’m genuinely so proud of Dami. For the longest time she’s been so insecure about her singing abilities and questioning whether or not she was even capable of singing at all. But now I think she’s finally coming out of that shell, and that makes me so happy.

FOR sure SIYEON is a very powerful vocal she' as to in rock band you got alway's amazing vocal's remember evanescence ? nightwitch . all female vocal in rock band are amazing and SIYEON is one maybe the best in korea to do that . THAT why i'am so pissed than dreamcatcher lack of popularity in korea . because they're trully unique and amazing .
It's the same kind of thing for BlackPink. They are not really promoted as much inside of Korea as they are globally. YG wants that world-wide reach. SO FAR, that works for them. DC is getting there for the global market. IF I HAD ANY MONEY, I would own every piece of music and merch and tickets that either of those two groups put out. And other groups too, but since I am on the other side of the world from there, I bet there are groups that I have NO idea about because they are only promoted inside Korea.

1 YG is the black sheep of all big 3 agency because of so many scandal. the agency as no good relationship with some broadcast station like MNET or some ceremony award , so blackpink is blacklisted because of YG .
2 yes YG is focus on a global market and that work so BLACKPINK is not really a k-pop group anymore like BTS they reach another level of popularity. so they became the ambassador of kpop wordwide .
for DREAMCATCHER it's different
1 they're concept and kind of music don't fit the korean taste . i'am sad because of that because we don't really like "originality" . group like DREAMCATCHER or K.A.R.D for exemple are so talented and so unique in korea than people think than they 're not a k-pop group . DREAMCATCHER is crazy popular in europe , kard in latine america . korean people like "cute concept " or "girl crush concept " point . and if some group start to sing mostrly in english it's other . but me i STAN DREAMCATCHER and BLACKPINK more than TWICE or ITZY for exemple .

Or at least the directors of radio stations and television stations. There is nothing wrong with Rock-and-Roll! Actually, I would not call DC a 'K-Pop' group either. They are 'K-Rock' plus Rap plus Rhythm-and-Blues...they are their own genre, really. I mean that in the best way possible, because they are AWESOME!
That story sounds like another musical person that I know of. This woman has been singing in bands since she was sixteen years old. Until 2019, many people in her own country didn't take her seriously. She had to join a musical band from a completely different country in order to get where she is now, because those in her own country are so closed-minded to her type of music. She is from the Netherlands. But she sings Metal, which is not listened to in the Netherlands. She ended up in a Metal band from Finland and eventually ended up on a very special television show that let the ENTIRE world know about her, INCLUDING her own country. NOW they are interested in her because she is in one of the greatest bands the world has ever seen. But she was so little-known in her own country until that happened...just sad.
@@jamescurfman3284 KROCK doesn't exist. it's kpop for all music genre in koréa . in kpop we got pop , rock , edm , hip hop ,jazz , blues , ballad ,rap etcc . and we got traditional music call "TROT " DC is the only one to have the "metal " or "baby metal" genre . we don't really have METAL band here . but you're RIGHT when for exemple SIYEON or YOOHYEON sing a pop american or korean song with "cute" outfit strangly the korean fan start to look them and praise them for they're vocal . for me today in kpop we got really few group with amazing vocals . DC ,GFRIEND ,RED VELVET and of course MAMAMOO. look mamamoo as same story for more than 2 years people trash talk on them because they don't fit our beauty standard now MAMAMOO is well know to be the best vocal group in kpop today . i hope than one day people can realise than we got some many gem "hidding" under small agency we don't have to only support group from big agancy like AESPA ,ITZY , or other when we got more talented people in little agency .
@@fabricemaire4433 Well, from where I am sitting and from what I can see, K-Rock/ K-Metal DOES exist, it's just not acknowledged by the people controlling the media. Everybody else who knows about and loves DC knows that, it's just too bad that there are no execs with a lot of money who know that. Otherwise, DC would be HUGE!
That is why I put DC as their very own genre. I think we agree 'close enough' about all of this. It's really just some very fine points that we might not agree completely with each other, but I think we get along just fine. :)

Yes those high notes were really Dami, as crazy as it sounds , the order of high notes is Sua,Dami,and then Siyeon. And legend has it that Dami can actually hit a higher note than Sua but, being the kind humble person Dami is, she bowed out to spare Sua’s vocal cords and competitive nature. We’ve seen Dami do similar things like giving her musical chair spot to Jiu instead of claimin* it herself. So , the legend is believable. Whether it’s true only Dami really knows.

One advice.... After Momo.... Jihyo release their Performance Project.... Please, bring a lot of water, and expect the unexpected.
