This Video (and the Elevator) is very amazing!
The Dimensions are great (not going to spoil anything directly) and do actually give a feeling of them not just being different rooms stacked onto another (if that even makes sense).
(Or if some clever editing is involved, then I haven't noticed anything that would give it off)

SPOILER ALERT
Like I said in the description, I was originally gonna use the Immersive Portals mod for the video, but the Forge version wasn't updated in a long time (likely never). So I used the vanilla method of using command blocks to teleport the player relative to their position in the elevator. It works surprisingly well and there're only a few frames of chunk loading (which I cut out lol). I used the exact same method in the underground facility. If you haven't checked that video out already, there's a "surprise" in the end of the video 😉
And the falling through the void part, I just combined the clips together :)

There’s something so nostalgic about this content, I really appreciate how you seem to make everything, even the obviously modded and parts, feel like they are actually part of the game, as much as I like minecraft it’s content on the internet is often at odds with how I tend to play it, but this makes me feel right at home

The elevator wasn’t going down. It was moving up but there was a second long elevator around it that moved slower than the main elevator so it looked like he moved down but was moving up to the sky. What kinda gave it away was when he fell down into the earth he toggled F5 just at the right moment so you don’t see the rooms in the sky.
And at 2:22 the chiseled quartz changes textures when the outer elevator stops
