JB that was awesome bro. It actually challenged you a bit. You guys should clear coat the disc with some counter top resin to stiffen it up and seal it. Throw a fin somewhere on the outer edge and line your bindings up sideways and ride it wakeboard style. Love the video though. 👍
Nice.....disks used to be pretty popular at cable parks before wakeboards were invented...Natural progression was bi-ski, mono(slalom)ski, disk then trickski. Sometime a kneeboard but they were uncommon, at least at my cable. Sometime some brought a real surf for fun, and I think the last year before this old cable closed I saw a skurf...Good memories, I used to pay my season card about 90$!!!

You need to ride an air mattress! Kyle and I both did it at Fright Jam a few years ago. That was back when NLR had the little mini kicker and I was able to go over it lol. Pretty good challenge!
Cut a piece of ply wood into a triangle, drill a hole at one point of it, and run the rope through the hole, I’ve heard story’s about my dads friend doing this behind a boat, they also use to use the same set up to dive under water used as a fin
is there a reason u didn't swap to face side (left/right foot first) i think u would be able to control similar and then not have to strain ur calves near as much
So we are thinking the diameter of the desk should be about like a 3 foot so I'm with you do you one and a half foot radius because in high school you learn the radius from the middle
@@jboneill maybe it's other cartoons but I remember cartons where one character is cutting a hole in the floor and instead of the disc falling out, the rest of the floor drops leaving the disc hanging in the air defying the laws of physics
Hard to share images on the tube...but my user image on the left side is me with a disc, standing on a ladder, about to do a toe-hold. no boots/bindings. With the flat piece of crap we’d manage 360s and wake jumps.. with the ladder as well... note: I carried the ladder with me from deep starts, it is not anchored/attached.
@@jboneill I use a tight carpenter string but I know you guys try to use what's available. Fishing line works good if you have any. Your method worked, just giving a tip if ppl don't have a drill bit or a 2X4. 😋 Ride on!
My uncle came up with this thing where he took an old round table and took the legs off, he would drag a chair behind him and set it on the table and stand on the chair. I did it, the vid on my yt
Anyone have tips? So whenever I wakeboard, my hip begins to cramp. (I ride right foot in back so it’s my right side that’s cramping) any tips would help!
Im a show skier and i typically ride with the ball of my feet right in the middle of the disc. I keep the weight fairly in the middle even when riding a ladder on the disc, rides the best that way

We had those back in the early 80's without any sort of boots. Towed behind a 1960's Glastron with a 70hp Merc 2 stroke!
