It worries me that this is better fitting than the Oni's existing chase music, that was made by the devs. I really wish they would just give you a job, you really know how to bring out the characters in your music.
Personally I think the vanilla Oni music from the survivor POV is a bit better, as it really communicates to you that you are chased by something monumental and is much more dread-inducing. However, yeah, from the killer POV, this music would sound much better.
Fun fact, the last name Yamaoka is based on a region in japan called Okayama. They just swapped the places of Oka and Yama to create the last name Yamaoka

They literally diddnt give custom killer exclusive hooks because of knowing which killer it would be without seeing the killer, this would also be a blatent giveaway

I love how I can imagine someone trying to defend themselves against Oni and they lock in this battle, one out of rage and bloodlust, the other in a desperate claw at distracting the Oni while the others escape.
I love how it’s calm at first, then it explodes with loud drums and quickened beat. Just like The Oni himself. Quiet, until he spills enough blood. That’s when the thrashes out in pure, blood boiling rage.

So, after hearing the updated Oni music, I’m gonna have to say... Jon, for the first time ever, the devs outdid you on this one. (Seriously though the new Oni music is so fucking nuts it single-handedly makes him my favorite Killer to go against)
Another great chase theme! Super enjoyable as always! I love the heavy percussion you used, it really fits the size and intensity of the Oni. Keep up the amazing work!
When I listen to this now, I for some reason get this image of the survivors trying to open the door, but the Oni will be upon them soon. One of them decides hed rather die than let anyone else suffer to the beast, and runs towards the oni instead of away, sliding underneath the first swing of the Oni's blade, suprising the beast. They grab a stick and run it through the Onis leg. The Oni is more suprised than hurt, maybe a little pissed, and perhaps just a little impressed at this ones tenacity. The Oni swings around on the survivor who dared to strike him, forgetting entirely about the others. He strikes downward with his blade, but the survivor rolls out of the way, using a hand to throw dirt up at the Oni's eyes, blinding one eye. In a fit of rage the oni lets loose a quick succession of sword forms, several cutting into the flesh of the survivor, who with labored breath stands defiantly just at the tip of his range, grabbing a wooden board as a weapon. To say the least, the survivor clearly stands no chance but surely lasts longer than most. What survivor do yall think that is?
Looking back on this. Not sure if it fits amazingly now. This music is gloriously made and fits a samurai. But the Oni is well, a Oni. And the pure boss adrenaline feel the official music gave off is missing here. Again, beautifully made. But maybe it doesn’t strike the tone of a kanabo wielding Ogre charging at you at Mach 10

I honestly cant wait til all killers have their own themes (except for trapper he needs to keep the og chase music cause he is the og) and own identity. Along with all the maps having graphical updates this game is headed into the right direction for sure.

Kazan is chasing a skilled survivor with his katana, making cold and calculated swings that miss by a hair as the skilled survivor dodges last second every time. 1:00 Then the music stops just as Kazan is outfitted by the survivor with a pallet who laughs in relief as he runs out of view. And the buildup is spent focusing on Kazan who comes to a dead stop in disbelief of the audacity of his prey. And absolutely *boiling* . His breathing becomes hoarse growls. His fists clench. His white hair begins flowing wildly as red mist of his power leaks out of him And right as the buildup hits the climax The man behind the mask becomes the Oni, as his eyes glow blood red and demonic energy explodes out of him accompanied by his infamous bellow of rage. 1:13 And when the music kicks back into gear, The Oni is in hot pursuit with the tunnel vision of a starved predator. His stomps echoing through the building with a tempo too fast anything that heavy has any right to be going. Clawed hands tearing indents into the stone walls as he throws himself around corners. Then when The Oni finally finds his prey, he closes the distance in moments, and the last thing the survivor turns around to see before the music cuts off is The Oni towering over him with his kanabo raised to crush its victim into paste. 1:26 I always love when music can tell a story like that. And to tell so much in so little of time is why I love this theme so much.
all im gonna say pls do more dead by daylight like this with the beat and the mix with the characters history and theme if so all i ask is do the knight next if you could do it
