you can also hide your ult laser by holding LOS on a wall or something in front of whoever you're aiming so they don't see it until they peek, then snap to them after
Something I utilize is if I am ads'ing with the sniper toward an opponent that may or may not know I'm looking at them, I'll hide my laser. For example, if someone is hiding behind a rock, i won't be aiming at the spot they might peak out from but rather on the edge of the rock and if they decide to peak i only have to move my reticle over slightly and take the shot. I also use the laser to direct where i want people to run. It's a little hard to explain but i will show my laser to a group in hopes they will try to avoid it (rather than run to me) by running away from it into another group. (If i want them to run left to right, I'll flash my laser to the left side of them) if that makes sense
I dont even play vantage much but this video was so thorough i wish someone would make the same quality of video for every legend. Also there’s so much excitement for legends like path and lifeline but soon people will realize legends like vantage, newcastle, and fuse are goated this season
L-Star + Sentinel is a god combo. L-star can dominate mid range and keep your distance using her mobility. Sentinel keeps your laser pointer away and can be the difference between running out of bullets with Snipers Mark and downing multiple peeps.
I almost always get to the final zone with her. Easy to farm shields with both beacon and consoles available to scan, so fights are often in your favour, plus her tactical must be one of the best in the game. It's similar to Loba's, except with a bit more charge up time and preparation, but with greater range, plus you get to keep your momentum at the end, which makes you far less vulnerable. I think the main reason that I'm climbing ranked so well with her is that despite solo queueing, my team can take fights early due to the shield advantage, but then even when my team makes a dumb play instead of heading to ring, I can still get out of the fight once my team gets stomped and then play for placement on a really consistent basis.
One thing you never mentioned was how I sometimes use echo. I’ll set him back with my teammates and walk up and see if I can get the entry dmg or a sneeky angle. If I can’t or I get pushed I’ll pull back to my teammates.
Hey Dazs, great guide overall ❤ One thing I do a lot with vantage is ADSing with the sniper at close objects to scan distant enemies in the upper half of my FOV. So my laser hits the object close by, but I can still use the max scope range of my ult to scan teams 🤘🏼
One thing i like to do with her ult is if i need the zoom of her scope ill position next to cover and aim at the cover while having the scope slightly off of it. That way i still get the zoom and info but they cant see the laser until i pull it off the cover and hit them pretty much immediately
Another Echo tip -- If you're mid fight or you're getting chased and you know for sure you are going to go down, you can use echo to launch your body to cover or closer to your team mates for a safer revive. If you time it right and you go down just as echo is charged up, you will still launch to him while you are down.
Ive seen gameplay and she seems so much fun. And watching this video (im currently at 10mins of this vid) and my goodness it is super informative. I am a noob and all this information is amazing. I have learned so much so far and will learn so much more. Amazing video
A note that I've considered with her perks: if you manage to get a gold helm from hot drop or trials, i never go ult accel perk and tac refresh, because the tac goes to like a 15s cd i think you get a lot more rotate and mobility with bat bounce. I may be abit bias but i prefer bat bounce a lot especially in ranked, its a lot more consistent and you're guaranteed to get use out of it, sometimes when i do pick the tac refresh, sometimes it just feels like i never get value out of it
Since she has the sniper in her back pocket I would run an automatic AR and a shotgun or maybe a burst AR and car, or marksman, like triple take which can flex as a good up close swap to finish off a week, close opponent but the scout and 30_30 work great too, I would pair those with the prowler. The prowler is actually quite viable at ranges outside of barrel stuffing with just a little bit of recoil control while providing shotgun like burst damage. I wish I was as good at the game as i am knowledgeable lol
This video just made me now wish her high powered life ending Sniper could demonstrate its power by decimating doors with a single shot. I think it’s a solid idea that I can’t get out of my head now…
Bro this is such a strange experience for me. I played all the donkey Kong games growing up and I just started listening to the different theme songs from donkey Kong country 2 for nostalgia, and then I come to watch this video, and I could’ve sworn I heard “aquatic ambience” an ost from donkey Kong 2 playing as your first song in the video. I’m still mind blown what are the chances of something that random happening again
I really enjoyed this video it was very informative, but might i suggest in the next maybe adding more clips of a specific thing you talk about just so I can visualize it better, (for example the passive bit about spotting enemies would be less confusing if I could see it) you had a clip showing the bullet drop right after but I would like to see what spotting enemies looks like.
Coming back to this video to mention something, if you place echo hi before falling off a building, as you fall and activate it, you can get the tactical to go farther, like 75-80 m
ohhmagawd this came at the most perfect time ever 😂now that i’m back on Vantage when my ranked games get too difficult/sweaty. It’s a great way to still get kills and high damage without unnecessarily pushing up and getting in a sticky situation you can’t back out of! Love the guide this is so helpful 💜 ps vantage is so underrated
Something you can do with echo is to use him as a decoy. I was hiding from a squad after they wiped my team. I moved echo into the open then moved him like he was following me. The team chased the bat, assuming I was over there. Gave me the chance to escape.
Personally the loadout I use for vantage is prowler + sentinel! Prowler is for close ranged fights but I really try to avoid close ranged fights unless needed. Going ult sniper and then a few shots with a sentinel knock 1 or 2 then push with team seems to be the best thing to do in fights.
I always use a volt/car and like a 30/30 or a triple take but I do find myself using longbows or sentis. Such a good support for her sniper once u run out or miss a few shots!
Interesting weapon take! I’ve been running 30-30 with the burst SMG…might have to try a little havoc nemesis combo. I enjoy the prowler for the quick bursts as you suggested…but I opt for the 30-30 as my secondary for follow up poke damage. I’ve knocked or broke many people hitting a snipe and immediately swapping to a 30-30. The g7 doesn’t hit as hard, at the range where its fast fire rate would be effective, I usually would rather just be running the 301…just preference I guess.
Yooooo ,, using echo to get an early start on the redeploy balloon is massive!! Especially when things are hot. Jump before the ballon hit ground and your halfway up!!
You can definitely keep ADSing with her ultimate. Just hide the laser behind some cover. You can still utilize her passive despite blocking most of it. That way, you can instantly peak and hit a mark with no delay. Plus, it may keep you hidden since the peak so fast that the laser disappears before they notice. The laser can definitely be a double-edged sword. One, it's obvious that it gives your position and gives a general direction of your whole team. Two, you can use it as pressure. It keeps the enemy in their place, fearing of being marked. This gives your teammates an opportunity to position themselves once you land a mark or simply allow them to move up and avoid fighting. It's a mind game during long range. Third, using her ultimate close range is such a power move. They are forced to play passive once marked. Allowing the fight to be a semi 2v3 scenario. Risky but rewarding. Fourth, sabotage. You can sabotage a fight that's going on in the distance with her ultimate. Of course, it's risky since you'll be giving away your position.
Thanks for the guide! I love Vantage and recently got back on her. On tip that can be utilised for her sniper is to hold ADS on your closest cover and flick to target when they are out of the cover. Thank me later. It's a bit mean trick as you don't need switch to the gun and save some time. Based on your game play, I think you are using it situationally but didn't include in the vid :)
Looks like one thing I missed, I have used this. I do prefer to switch guns and bait out and still hold presence. I wrote so many notes and one thing I missed. I usually hide my laser also on objects nearby something closer.
so i think i figured out the "hotwire" line! my theory is...seeing as how the apex games are/were run by duardo, i think his company gave vantage(and the others) the device that taps into the beacon and told her "she can use this to hotwire the beacon" and given how vantage thinks, shes like "how am i hot wiring it if youre giving me something that does it for me" so when she says "i can hot wire that" i think shes kinda air-quoting "hot wire" kinda as sarcasm cuz they told her thats what shes doing but she doesnt believe thats what shes doing.
Is there a specific maybe niche reason why I would want to keep echo in a certain place, maybe if i was holding an area but wanted quick access back to my team?
I don’t see the reason personally. One could argue range and faster rotation. But you are giving too much info. Which I deem too much of a give to the opponent.
I might be one of the worst vantage mains..I usually fight way further back while my team is fighting, by the time I get there the team has died.. I'm bad with the sniper ultimate and usually only hit my shots 50 percent of the time, i like to run another sniper with a shotgun or SMG so yeah the tips were helpful I'll try some of this
Don’t use a shotti with her ur focus is to play back not up close. A good load out i use is 30/30 with the volt! Another tip is carry a ult accel or 2 and it’s ok if u miss your shots u not gonna go 6/6 every time but u must go 3/6! If not you’re definitely gonna get pushed. Another thing is don’t be super far back from your team be a little back from them or try to have some high ground
Im no vantage main but I'd to share some changes for vantage I'd think would make her great First, make her unholstered passive more seamless. Second hitting shots with sniper highlights enemies your squad has L.O.S of until mark ends. If one tm8 has L.O.S only they get the highlight but if vantage has L.O.S she gives wallhacks on that player to her tm8s only. Handling with sniper becomes very seamless. Pulling it out, putting it away & ADs. Her q triggers faster, vantage gets hover (like from tf2). So when you reach the apex of your jump , ads to stay hovering for 6s, jump whenever you want during the 6s, here you can shoot your gun after a second from reaching your apex & have less airborn inaccuracy with any weapon but snipers which have 100% airborn accuracy. (While hovering you are still.)
While generally it better to slide drop with the tac, the double jump can help change directions & go farther. It really depends on the situation. Something I like to do with the A-13 Sentry is to line my crosshair behind cover when ADS when watching a angle. This hides the laser, giving you a easier time to bait opponents. The damage numbers on A-13 Sentry if it was unclear to anyone: 50 base damage, 1.5 head shot multiplier. Consecutive hits will do double, resulting in this: First shot: 50 Second shot: 100 Third shot: 200 Fourth shot: 400 Fifth shot: 800 Sixth shot: 1600 Your opponent should be dead on the third shot. If they heal, fourth shot is a knock on level 3 armor no fortified. Fifth & sixth shot will knock them, which I will be wondering how the **** are they alive.
Hey man off topic but how do you avoid feeling burnout on this game? Sure the start of the season as a whole is refreshing indeed but what really keeps you playing?
I get this asked often. I am a bit odd and when I am passion about something I fixate hard. But, I also remind myself why I play video games but also what I enjoy most about Apex. I do work daily, so Apex does remain my side hobby or hustle. So I am excited to dedicate time always. Just balancing act but also rooting with goals and remember why you do things.
Whats a good duo to run with vantage? My buddy loves vantage and this split we are gonna duo que ranked. What should i play with his vantage? Our playstyle is more hybrid than anything
He can choose both, but once chosen can’t hit them back to back like vantage can. Vantage can spam POI and hit all survey beacons but also once zones close keep hitting consoles.
How do content creators have the ability to make lobby's where they are the only people on the map? I want to chill with mates exploring the maps, but we have to have 30 people in.
weirdly enough because of vantage I realise I actually care about the personalities of the characters I play. and a teen that says disgusting stuff about smells and stuff just doesn't do it for me. because it's the character's voice you hear most of the time
Honestly, I'd agree with you , and we could also factor in the fact that bloodhound was also raised in the wild... And he seems to have a huge level of maturity in his voice 😢
@@Dazs Loved the guide! Though I don't play much Vantage I still enjoyed it. I am trying to find some good guides for Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Revenant as those are my mains so far :D
But not bad to back. Pathfinder is unique but he must choose. Vantage is only one who can hit survey then console, then rotate and hit survey then wait for zone and hit console
@@Dazs oh wait I get what you mean now. I forgot she is a recon legend so she has the beacon as a passive then her perk lets her unlock ring consoles. That is actually very unique.
I go for an organic feel, only script the intro and bullet point. All my content is this way. Goal is if you are standing next to me and we are vibing. If I can’t talk about it without a script, then I don’t make a video on it. Just my teaching style and whole vibe of the channel. It’s not for everyone but I do this for fun and as my hobby! :)
@@DazsI know, and I think thats a good vibe for your other videos but specifically for character guides, they need to be very structured to be understood. You have been playing this game long enough that you are more than qualified to make them - unlike some other youtubers that do.
Sorry video is longer, but really wanted to cover just about everything could think of. If I did miss anything, I am also sorry. I hope the guide is helpful!

This is awesome mate thank you
I love this series, Thank you. I feel as if I can dabble with any legend after these.
It's alright that it's long, I'm really trying to know as many tips that I can for vantage. I'm not good but... I'm trying to do better.
you can also hide your ult laser by holding LOS on a wall or something in front of whoever you're aiming so they don't see it until they peek, then snap to them after
The switching to the sentinal catches people by surprise its so funny, cool to see you mention it

Hello from the future! Vantage is crushing in ranked s22.
Started playing vantage for s20 ranked. She’s really slept on with the double beacon
L-Star + Sentinel is a god combo. L-star can dominate mid range and keep your distance using her mobility. Sentinel keeps your laser pointer away and can be the difference between running out of bullets with Snipers Mark and downing multiple peeps.
Got pred for the first time ever season 20 thanks to this guide. Love your vids and and rocking your banner frame till I die now.
Great guide! I’ve been playing a lot of Vantage lately and haven’t found a really good guide until now. Amazing details and tips
Vantage has been slept on for too long! Imagine she was meta & there was a whole lobby of vantage snipers 🫠
I actually would kinda like to relive season 14 😂
No thanks season 14 was traumatizing lol
Nah I'd rather enjoy the game (JK I am a simp for vantage and her antics)
Her q leaves you exposed to take hella damage , potentially
I almost always get to the final zone with her. Easy to farm shields with both beacon and consoles available to scan, so fights are often in your favour, plus her tactical must be one of the best in the game. Been playing Vantage alot in S20 so this was great sidenote the chrono trigger background music had me tripping
POINTS!
Someone's been watching some Pitch Meeting videos 😄. Liking Dazs videos is "super easy, barely an inconvenience"

Will there be a Wattson guide as well?
I main vantage and ash. Can't wait to finish this video this is hype
Actually Pathfinder can use the ring and survey beacons as well but his refresh tac on knock perk is really good.
He can only use one per match, Vantage can scan a survey beacon and a ring console with the perk. That’s what Dazs was getting at.
Vantage is still the only one who doesn't need to choose and can do both back to back.
Yooooo ,, using echo to get an early start on the redeploy balloon is massive!! Especially when things are hot. Jump before the ballon hit ground and your halfway up!!
god DAYUM, those snipes in the beginning thoooo
Great full video 👍
10 mins ago??? i’m getting here earlier and earlier ❤️
The "200 points, Alright!!!" was from home alone 2 I think😂😂
Only thing is it’s hard to find the things that get ur special back they are so dam hard to find
So i just need to know is that the resident evil music in the background
Is there any other mains you have besides Wattson and Vantage?
Conduit :)
Have there been any specific changes to vantages perks?
so i think i figured out the "hotwire" line!
my theory is...seeing as how the apex games are/were run by duardo, i think his company gave vantage(and the others) the device that taps into the beacon and told her "she can use this to hotwire the beacon" and given how vantage thinks, shes like "how am i hot wiring it if youre giving me something that does it for me" so when she says "i can hot wire that" i think shes kinda air-quoting "hot wire" kinda as sarcasm cuz they told her thats what shes doing but she doesnt believe thats what shes doing.
What a palava to get armour in a battle royal that used to be about picking up armour and swapping it. 😅
vantage is so slept on
Ok so thoughts on Triple Take, Prowler? I absolutely love the T-Take and my roller brain can only use SMGs well and personally like them a lot…
Was at one of your streams and you weee talking about this and I wanted to get into her
Love Chrono Trigger music!
Great Vid! How are you playing on a map by yourself with no enemies?
Is there a specific maybe niche reason why I would want to keep echo in a certain place, maybe if i was holding an area but wanted quick access back to my team?
I don’t see the reason personally. One could argue range and faster rotation. But you are giving too much info. Which I deem too much of a give to the opponent.

Im no vantage main but I'd to share some changes for vantage I'd think would make her great
First, make her unholstered passive more seamless.
This is so over the top omfg 😂
Wayyyy too broken dude
@raph2415 Well, if anything, I think the L.O.S highlight & wallhack for tm8s could still be a good addition.
fortified would be great first step
I just had over 5+ games of randos being vantage. I blame you lmao 😂
25:26 Was that a pitch meeting reference?
Maybe ;)
Do one on horizon or conduit for aggressive players
I liek to run prowler hemlock or pk, but if I don’t find those I run g7 and alternator
(Can't believe I didn't know you could get the ads perk... by ads-ing with no weapon out. I always assumed you HAD to have a 2x or higher.)
“Super easy, barely an inconvenience” - I saw what you did there😂
While generally it better to slide drop with the tac, the double jump can help change directions & go farther. It really depends on the situation.
Something I like to do with the A-13 Sentry is to line my crosshair behind cover when ADS when watching a angle. This hides the laser, giving you a easier time to bait opponents.
The damage numbers on A-13 Sentry if it was unclear to anyone:
50 base damage, 1.5 head shot multiplier.
Consecutive hits will do double, resulting in this:
First shot: 50
Second shot: 100
Third shot: 200
Fourth shot: 400
Fifth shot: 800
Sixth shot: 1600
Your opponent should be dead on the third shot. If they heal, fourth shot is a knock on level 3 armor no fortified.
Fifth & sixth shot will knock them, which I will be wondering how the **** are they alive.
PLEASE DO MAD MAGGIE NEXT

Whats a good duo to run with vantage? My buddy loves vantage and this split we are gonna duo que ranked. What should i play with his vantage? Our playstyle is more hybrid than anything
Fuse, cluster on a marked enemy does a lot of damage, plus it’s good to force a squad out of cover where then vantage can snipe them

If I’m not mistaken, pathfinder can hit survey beacons or ring consoles
He can choose both, but once chosen can’t hit them back to back like vantage can. Vantage can spam POI and hit all survey beacons but also once zones close keep hitting consoles.
@@Dazs aaaaahhh ok gotcha
How are you in this map all by yourself?
Can you make a new Wattson guide?
How do content creators have the ability to make lobby's where they are the only people on the map? I want to chill with mates exploring the maps, but we have to have 30 people in.
@Dazs How do you get a lobby like this? I like gathering info so this would be nice
pretty sure this is a private match! console and pc both have access to them, i just dont know how to u_u
@@HNY-GRL I thought there was a player threshold you had to reach to make one
And the reference is home alone “the ding dang dong plaza hotel”
weirdly enough because of vantage I realise I actually care about the personalities of the characters I play. and a teen that says disgusting stuff about smells and stuff just doesn't do it for me. because it's the character's voice you hear most of the time
Honestly, I'd agree with you , and we could also factor in the fact that bloodhound was also raised in the wild... And he seems to have a huge level of maturity in his voice 😢

thank uuuuuuu
Key to mastering Vantage: get good with normal snipers and then pick pathfinder
Wow wow, how are one alone on the map and no rings or whatever?
Early gang!
LETS GO!
@@Dazs Loved the guide! Though I don't play much Vantage I still enjoyed it. I am trying to find some good guides for Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Revenant as those are my mains so far :D
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Vantage go crazy!!!
Is that 200 points things from home alone???…I know but I don’t wanna look it up
Lmao the home alone reference
If I recall correctly aim assist only goes up to x3 after that aim assist doesn’t activate
Busting out crusty the clown I see haha
Pathfinder can hit a console and beacon. It is not only vantage.
I love home alone 2 daz

commenting for the algorithm
PING, it's the most under used tool in Apex Legends.
Agreed! I even make mistake of not using it enough.
Home alone 2 if no one has gotten it 1:03
HOME ALONE MENTIONED?!?
Pathfinder can hit both consoles
But not at the same time, only Vantage can hit them back to back to back
@@Dazs word I see now. Have you learned the canyon jump yet?
I run 2x on everything lol

You should really make a script next time bro
I go for an organic feel, only script the intro and bullet point. All my content is this way. Goal is if you are standing next to me and we are vibing. If I can’t talk about it without a script, then I don’t make a video on it. Just my teaching style and whole vibe of the channel. It’s not for everyone but I do this for fun and as my hobby! :)
@@DazsI know, and I think thats a good vibe for your other videos but specifically for character guides, they need to be very structured to be understood. You have been playing this game long enough that you are more than qualified to make them - unlike some other youtubers that do.
Home alone lol
Home alone 2
Someone finally got it!!! Omg!
