Lovely to see you boiling water before putting the moka on the fire!
I would suggest you to put a bit more coffe in the filter: fill it up after tapping, it’s designed not to have to weight the coffe every time. You will have more taste in the brew :)

Hi! Can the brew that comes out of a moka be used in making a cappuccino? Like a decent cappuccino..
I can't invest in a proper espresso machine at the moment..
Or would you recommend some other more suitable extraction method for coffee for making cappuccinos?
Thank you in advance and also, i love this video on carmentica...perhaps the only proper video by a user on UA-cam.

      Hi Ashok.
      Short answer: Yes you can!
      Long answer:
A moka pot brew In terms of strength is mid-way between a shot of espresso and a filter coffee. A shot of espresso is brewed at significantly higher pressure, with much finer coffee grinds and a lower water to coffee ratio. This not only results in a much stronger beverage but also a different texture and mouthfeel.
Now, even I make milk coffee using my Moka pot as I don't have an espresso machine either. For someone who's very new in brewing fresh coffee, it hardly makes a difference. So yeah, enjoy a nice Cappuccino with Moka Pot.
And thank you so much for the word of appreciation. It means a lot!

@@ShikhaPrasadCraft thank you so much Shikha for your reply. I will then go ahead with the Carmentica. Can't seem to find a better moka pot for the price.

So, a question about this Moka pot - is it manufactured in Italy? Or it’s Chinese?

Hello, This is made by Lavazza, and it's Italian made (made by ILSA Italy). Apparently, one of the best quality next to Bialetti. Hope this helps.

Hi, this is a 300 ml cup. I use it to make one cup from 60 ml mocha coffee concentrate

@@ShikhaPrasadCraftI'm sorry to bother you, but I don't understand. Do you mean the base of the carmencita moka pot contains 300ml of water?

    • @ShikhaPrasadCraft
      @ShikhaPrasadCraft  8 місяців тому

@@DhatradityaJ no no, i mean the drinking cup size is 300 ml.
I put only 100 ml water in carmencita base, and it makes 60-70 ml coffee concentrate.

@@DhatradityaJ the carmencita base takes approx 103 -105 mil water

@@ShikhaPrasadCraft that makes more sense. Thank you. Do you have the exact model number? I want the 100ml capacity moka pot too to replace my bialetti 2 cup moka pot.
