For real. Tucson is more Sonoran, while Phoenix is kind of a mix of Sonoran, Mojave, and Native American. That being said, Arizona sports teams have a tendency to use predominantly Sonoran wildlife for mascots (in particular the Sonoran Pronghorn at GCU, and the Western diamondback for the pro baseball team of the same name.

Boston College should have been a school, because it was name a school not named after the city or state the schools in so since the school is in Chestnut Hill, BC should count. Also wake forrest was named after a city in NC so either BC should count or WF shouldn't
It’s not 19 miles. The campuses are 47 miles apart. Just for clarity it’s 19 miles from TCU to Arlington where the Cowboys play. It’s 25 miles from SMU to Arlington.
@@RaidingJaguarX I didn’t say that was the distance between the two schools. They were talking about the Cowboys stadium as a reference point. Maybe I should’ve worded it better.

Notre Dame and Stanford are debatable. They both are in unincorporated census designated areas named Notre Dame and Stanford respectively -- meaning technically Notre Dame is not in South Bend and Stanford is not in Palo Alto.
If Sam Houston State, which isn’t in Houston, isn’t on the last list, then Rice shouldn’t be either as there is a Rice, TX, but it’s not home to the university.
I agree they both should count. The only argument for different treatment would be that the city of Houston was incorporated before Sam Houston State. Rice, TX and the Rice Institute were both in the same year, 1912...though Rice, TX existed as an unincorporated community before then. That is a terrible argument. They both should count. Same with Austin College if you wanted to do Division III...which you should not.
West Virginia and Appalachian State are not close. WVU is in the northern part of WV about 20 mile from the PA border. ASU is in western North Carolina which is closer to Eastern Tennessee than WV.
When I think about the chargers I think San Diego so I was saying San Diego State and thought they were stupid for saying the closest school is one in LA
None of these places are actually in Miami. UM is actually the closest to the city of Miami, while FIU is in University Park, an unincorporated community in Miami-Dade County 6+ miles west of Coral Gables. Hard Rock Stadium, where the Dolphins and Hurricanes play, is by far the most distant from Miami; it's in Miami Gardens, on the Broward/Miami-Dade county line, and some 13 miles from downtown Miami. It is true that FIU is ever-so-slightly closer to HRS, but it's academic because I'm pretty sure they're using stadium locations.
Literally came here to say that.. ever heard of Terry Bradshaw?? L’Jarius Sneed playing on the Super Bowl winning Chiefs?? And i know this is NBA but Karl Malone?? Paul Milsap??

Miami is tough because the U, FAU, and FIU campuses are all about the same distance from the stadium. If we are going by where the teams play though this is right
